Very expensive prices compared to similar places, and the poutine that comes in combo is so small, completely ridiculous. The smallest poutine I had served in a similar restaurant (don't be fooled by the photos of other people's poutines, it's not this size that is served in the combos). The taste is average too, nothing special. $17 for 2 hotdogs + small poutine....I would have needed 2x orders to eat for 1 person...

I found the dishes to be of average quality. Although the portions were generous, the fries, which were visibly frozen, lacked flavor and the fried food seemed a little dated. The sandwiches were OK, but nothing more. I find that the prices are quite high for the quality offered, especially when you know that it is possible to find better in downtown Montreal or in restaurants specializing in poutine. Overall, I'm a little disappointed.

Correct, nothing more. Portions are small for the price. In terms of cleanliness, an effort needs to be made: bathroom not clean and floor sticky. And they ask for a tip when ordering. Tipping requested with orders at the counter and even before receiving service, really?!

I stopped by Gerard Patates after a soccer match with my boys, and we were pleasantly surprised! The staff and owner were incredibly friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. We ordered a submarine trio and two trio cheeseburgers, and everything was great. While we were eating, the staff surprised us with a complimentary plate of freshly made donut holes—at least 20 of them! It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the kids were thrilled. I can’t make it every week, but I’ll definitely be back once a month. Long live Gerard Patates!
