3 out of 4 times going here, the older guy I guess the cook would get very impatient and escalate over minor inconveniences. It seems that he probably has his way with his attitude but when people react to it he gets worse. I felt rushed to make my order and it was very unpleasant. This was the last straw. You're much better off eating at Gerard on Cartier. The people there are so kind and the food isn't dry like here.

Today my husband and son went to pick up 5 burgers some fries and a poutine. They had a bad experience with, I believe is the owner. He is so unpleasant. I went I while ago too with my son and received the same unpleasant service from this guy. Once my husband asked if he can have mustard in his burger and this guy responded “ it’s many years been doing this job and 1st time I hear someone put mustard on burger”. Anyhow, I was very disappointed for the quality. The burgers were dry and had no flavour and their fries as well. There is another Chez Gerard place on Cartier near the metro and there they are so nice and the food is much better. You have seen the last of us.

This place feels like you’re in a call of duty modern warfare map. Eerily retro and well kept. no music. You shush up when you eat your poutine round here.
Ive been hearing about Gerard for a couple of years and this was my first visit. The TikTok comments have since let me know that I went to the wrong one. who gives a crap. The other one doesn’t look nearly as vibey.
Anyways, I’m not a big fan of fat soggy wet Quebec fries. I’m more of a thin crispy guy. For reference, my favourite poutine in Montreal is Patati patata. However! For a Quebec poutine this was very good. Delicious gravy and the cheese curd held its integrity right to the bottom of the tray.
Worth visiting this location for the aesthetic!

We ordered our meals and I asked for an extra glass of water since my 4 year old daughter only drinks water. They wanted to charge me $0.50 to pay for the glass!!!!! They refused to serve a child a free glass of water!!!!! First and last visit. I would be ashamed in their place.
