El Pasta Man in Laval is a good spot for a pasta craving. The Linguini Alfredo with chicken is tasty, though a bit pricey. The garlic bread, however, was underwhelming. Service is friendly, and despite the minor flaws, it’s a decent choice for late-night pasta.

I received recommendations for this establishment because of their famously delicious and customizable dishes. However, I was somewhat disappointed to find that the tortellini was drowned in excessive white sauce. The sauce was so abundant that it overpowered every other element of the dish, making each bite identical in taste. Although I am inclined to give this establishment a second chance, I would opt for a different choice. It is possible that my visit coincided with a less favorable day.

I’ve ordered several times from El Pastaman, and almost every time there were serious delays. I’ve noticed that there is always only one person in the kitchen, so no wonder why the delays. Anyways, there are only 4 or 5 types of pasta - and for a pasta oriented restaurant this is embarrassing. There is indeed a way to customize your order (pasta), but … not everyone is an expert. For the reasons listed above, I’ve stopped ordering from them. Also, it’s an expensive restaurant ;)
