Our daughter wanted to celebrate her 18th birthday at this restaurant. We booked online but received no call to let us know it was closed. So our group of 15 people coming from all sides, it was for nothing. We had to find a plan B, which wasn't easy for a Sunday brunch. Damage...

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening for dinner. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. On the other hand, we were the only ones in the restaurant, it took a while before there was music to set the mood. We were also disappointed to see that the waitress only spoke in English and asked us to respond to her in English, because she did not understand English. It is disappointing to see that we hire waitresses who do not speak French in a restaurant in Quebec! The official language remains French still in Quebec!Good service in general despite everything.

We were staying in Laval and looking for a nice, nearby restaurant that offered a diverse menu, and Le Vingt-huit fit the bill. The food was tasty and satisfying and reasonably priced. If we are ever back in Montreal, we'll be sure to return!
