I have been to this restaurant several times in the last few months. While the service is usually quite slow, the atmosphere usually makes up for it. Had booked it for Friday to celebrate my birthday and what a disappointment. We had the reservation for 7:30 PM and had our main dish served at 10:45 PM and that was 2 hours after we got our appetizer. The restaurant was almost empty by that time. Several guests of my party had to leave without getting a main dish. The waitress never really informed us of any delays. We had to chase after our waitress to ask for an update on our main course twice. The 20 minute wait we were informed about, turned out to be an hour. What’s even worse, a table near by got their food before us and were done by the time we got ours and their reservation was an hour later than ours. By the time we finished eating they were cleaning the tables. We asked to have the birthday cake brought and had to remind the waitress again after a 20 minute wait. Never got any followups or apologies other than when they brought the bills, blaming it on the slow service in the kitchen.

The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. However, it took an entire HOUR to receive our appetizers. What’s worse, the table next to us ordered 20 minutes after we did and still got their food 30 minutes before us. For the price we paid, I definitely expected better. We had to ask the waiter about our order before getting any explanation otherwise, who knows how much longer we would’ve waited. The food smelled great but tasted just average, and honestly, it was disappointing. The restaurant wasn’t even busy when we arrived, so there’s no excuse for such a delay. Our waiter tried to make up for it afterwards, but by then it was too late. We left no tip. Do better.

We’ve visited this restaurant a few times and always enjoy the lively atmosphere and charming decor. The setting is perfect for a casual night out, and the live music definitely adds to the vibe. On this visit, however, the singer was a bit of a letdown compared to our previous experiences. We’ve had great performances in the past, but this one felt like the artist was still a novice, lacking the polish we were used to.
The food was decent—not bad, but not outstanding either. One thing that stood out as odd, especially in a bilingual country, was that there were no English menus available.
Overall, still a nice place to visit for the atmosphere, but we hope the music and menu options improve on our next visit.

I used to go to the one in Montreal for my birthday for a few years. Since it is now closed, we are booking this one. The food is okay, the service is okay, but for the atmosphere I was terribly disappointed! It’s called the Maison du jazz, so when I went there for my birthday dinner I was expecting this kind of music… well no! It was a salsa night! I was so disappointed that I never went back. What is this serious??

Wow, what a beautiful place and the ratings are in my top 3 and what's more, when we returned home, the restaurant contacted us with an error on the invoice for our table, a gift certificate credit had not been applied ($212.00) THANK YOU for the honesty we will come back very soon

seems they moved downtown everything to this location, building is newer, but when you get inside, feels like back to their always location feeling
Very disappointed with my experience. Went on the friday night to listen to good jazz music but country was playing and once the jazz band was supposed to come in, they had technical issue that took them 1h to fix... Had hair in my dessert and definitely not worth it to pay 10$/pers to hear no one play. Service was extremely slow, i had to ask for the dessert card, the bill, the machine to pay and etc. Definitely not the kind of service you expect when you spend more than 100$/pers.
