The most aggressive and rudest staff in all Laval, so stuck up, I was going through a lot of personal issues and I forgot my keys somewhere, I called and they acted like I was the dumbest girl ever and like I would not see it. I just wanted my super overpriced drink and did not at all needed these superficial people making fun of me while I was already dealing with way bigger problems than them. I cannot believe more people had this experience. I go to way fancier places and never had any issues with people treating me like this ever. The manager must be hiring all her family and paying them 30$ to trash over people there. I hope they read this because it is unacceptable since MANY people had this experience.

It saddens me to only give one star since I come here regularly. But, yesterday I bought a large Paris Brest which cost more than $30 and to the great surprise of my guests and myself the cake was extremely salty. They put so much salt in the choux pastry that the cake was disgusting, the whole cake went in the trash. So, I called the bakery to share the inconvenience, and they stupidly told me: thank you for your feedback.Wow! Not even a "we're sorry" What poor customer service! I'm really disappointed, because I buy from them at least once a week...

We went there for brunch. The food is very good. However, disappointment in the price versus the quantity on the plate. The Smach burger is not served with anything. The risotto portion is ridiculous = child portion. The Benedictine croissant is not served with any accompaniment... It's expensive for an almost empty plate. It's good, but unfortunately it's going to be a while before we go back.

I came for the first time with a friend and the service was lousy despite the fact that their pastries were good.To give you some context, we had bought pastries and coffee and wanted to enjoy them on site. Unfortunately, we are told again that it is not possible for us to have two places since they prioritize people wishing to have brunch. What is lamentable is the fact that there were free seats in the café and that people were sitting without having brunch!! The staff's comments had no credibility.This service does not make me want to come back a second time.

Basically I've been coming to La Bête à Bread since it opened and I've never had a problem before.I went there today and wanted to show a friend the place. So we asked that we have coffee and brioches to eat on site and 2 waitresses told us that it wasn't possible, because it's only people who have brunch.I can understand that being that way, so I got takeout anyway and was going to leave.But what bothered me was that there were 3 tables of people who had drinks and buns without having brunch and when I told the waitress she told me that they had been there for a long time, but I arrived at 9:30 a.m. - so 30 minutes after the dining room opens. So why did people have the right knowing that there were several other tables available and not us…Then, she gives us a table and limits us to 30 minutes after telling her that there were people seated without having had brunch. So it was really not pleasant for us.When we were eating, we saw a few people sitting on the empty tables and no one stopped them from sitting down.In short, a very unpleasant experience and for my friend too it was her first time.
Very cute bakery, they have a variety of breads and baked goods. We went for brunch, the food was really good. I recommend the smash burger and the breakfast sandwich made with fresh and super soft bun bread! We were seated at the bar and we could see the cook. Very fun experience!

The food and the bakery side is very good. The room being quite small, it is quite noisy. However, the biggest negative point remains the service. The servers are slow, not very welcoming and have difficulty understanding orders.Parking: There is a small parking lot in front of the store and other more distant spaces which allow good accessibility.

Une sélection de pains variée et grandissante. J'ai aussi récemment mangé à midi, et c'était très bon. La salle est jolie. Quelques grandes tables "communautaires". Si vous passez à côté et que vous êtes dans le trafic de la 15, faites y donc un arrêt gourmand !
