Disappointed with the service at lunchtime (35 minutes of waiting before taking our order with 12 customers inside) upon receiving us at the entrance, we were told that the menu prices were exceptional (High Price of Range) no bench available with 2 free supposedly "Reserved" ?We are asked to scan the QR Code for the menu and 5 minutes later we are brought a large menu on a tripod to tell us that the QR menu is not valid?.It's unfortunate that the service staff are so clumsy with very good quality of food served. Bravo to the Chef of LaTaverne but it was a missed appointment with the very average service staff. We were celebrating a 49th wedding anniversary for this Lunch which will remain a disappointing choice. Chez Lionel Brasserie française, which has knowledgeable and passionate staff with food of comparable quality, will remain our choice on the next occasion?.

2nd experience and very disappointed. Arrived around 7:30 a.m. and at 8:30 a.m. we still didn't have our dishes. The waitress didn't come to see if everything was okay and we had to wait a long time then call someone for water

Comme le mentionne l'autre commentaire, la Taverne se vante d'avoir des options véganes, mais la seule au menu, le hamburger, est servi dans un pain non végane.
We reserve a table on a Friday for our first visit. The menu looked very interesting with lots of choice and the prices more than reasonable. In fact it looked so good that I thought there must be a grip.
Once there, it's disappointment after disappointment. The stool seats are almost dangerous because they are so unstable. I wouldn't have imagined it would be less balanced after a few beers, but in the end we remained perfectly sober because it's impossible to get served in this place. As several others have mentioned, the service is a big 0. The service is so atrocious it's ridiculous. We were seated at a table located literally 15 feet from the bar and after 25 minutes no one had come to offer us a drink. The room was half empty, no rush, and we saw a lot of staff walking around or staying behind the bar without doing anything. And the worst of the worst; the manager on duty this evening was also 15 feet away, perhaps less for the duration of our wait. Really not serious.
It was so bad that I couldn't help but go see her and tell her how insulted we were by their terrible service and we went to spend $150 each at the Baton Rouge next door.
A beautiful place, good food ?
I love this restaurant! Not only is the food excellent with a very varied menu and oysters for $2 (wow), but the service and staff are exceptional!! Always smiling and attentive. A must!!

If I could put zero that would be my rating! From the start, the service was extremely long, group of 15-20 people we all arrived between 7:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., at 10:00 p.m. half of the group had finished eating while the other half were still waiting for our plates ..? The food was quite ordinary, disorganized service, we had to ask for the bill 2-3 times plus there were errors on it, once again long and poor service, always having to run after the waitress for everything!! (10-15 minutes after asking for the bill, the waitress had a drink and chatted with other customers….) In addition to a $150 bill, I spent the night vomiting thanks to food poisoning.. !! (And no it's not because of the alcohol, I didn't drink a single drop all evening.) Anyway, I'm not a difficult person but it's definitely our worst experience ever in a restaurant, and I will never go back there.

The food is ok but in terms of service it's extremely long, the sangria only ice cream inside. I won't go back there.
A toxic and uncomfortable atmosphere reigns in this restaurant.
The manager yells at the staff while drinking beer straight from the pitcher.. half of it pouring down his chest. His shirt was buttoned in a completely soaked blind.
Employees struggled to serve customers. Shots were handed out to customers to ease their frustrations.
No help was given to them by the manager.
We leave the restaurant with a bitter taste in our mouths.
Aside from the oppressive show on the part of the manager towards the employees, the food and service was good since our server and his colleagues kept smiling all evening.
