Been here a couple times and the sushi is average but overpriced. For that reason, we hadn't been able for a while but I'm celiac so have appreciated they have a gf menu. However, last time I went I had a reaction as they were not careful about cross-contamination. After I ate the appetizer, which they assured me was clean, I noticed crumbs of tempura flakes on the sides of the plate, and later noticed on a main dish as well. But by then it was too late. The waiter apologized and did his best, but the kitchen was not careful, and the manager did very little to make things right and did not really seem to care.

My reason for leaving such a low rating is due to the service provided by one of the workers here. We had a complete other server pass us our bill, he had not been our server through the night, after we had paid he had the audacity to start questioning us on our tip amount. Disgusting behaviour, we tipped what we thought was reasonable but he kept insisting that we should have tipped his recommended amount. Before finally leaving us alone he insisted “it’s just another $10”, which is an absurd thing to say considering it’s not his money.

We finally got to try Mikasa Sushi Bar in Centropolis. Very cool vibe. Quite busy. Chic ambience The lobster salad is delicious. The rolls are delicious. Avocado sushi delicious. The portions are on the small side. Order more than what you think. The service was friendly. Located right in the middle of Centropolis. The parking availability depends on the night. I will definitely go back.

The food is higher end, but the portion sizes for the prices were difficult to justify. Service is friendly but they forgot the drinks, forgot the request for the bill and food delivery was slow. The parking was busy, hard to find but they were having an event in the square on this Thursday night
