Mardin Palace Restaurant in Laval is a true hidden gem for anyone who loves authentic Middle Eastern/Turkish cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm hospitality and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere.

The food is outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The grilled meats are perfectly cooked, tender, and well-seasoned, and the portions are generous. The appetizers are just as impressive, especially the mezes, which are full of traditional flavors. Everything tastes homemade and high quality.

The service deserves special mention. The staff are attentive, friendly, and always happy to explain the menu or make recommendations. Orders arrive on time, and the overall experience feels relaxed and enjoyable.

The food was soooo finger licking good, and soooo much we couldn't finish the last bowl of rice.... The chicken was so tasty and tender, the adana kebab was awsome, a personal recommendation, try this mix

Also the cosy ambience and welcoming employees was the best....

Our group was so excited to come back here after having had an amazing meal here a year ago. However, what we experienced this time around was beyond disappointing, it was unacceptable. One of the worst meals we have ever had.

The food was not edible and in addition many of the ingredients seemed to be old and like they were cutting a lot of corners.
The kebab was like hard rubber and the menu states it is 2 kebab in the dish , but they just cut 1 ordinary kebab in half and put the 2 small halves on it to make it look like 2. The rice inside the vine leaves was hard and without flavor, cheese rolls were flavorless & were insanely oily.
The alinazek kebab plate came with almost no meat on it.

Our group barely ate any of our food.
The only positive was that our server was doing a great job in trying to manage multiple roles and issues at once, which he did politely and professionally. he made several attempts at reaching his manager to help with organizing a resolution with regards to our bill to no avail as manager was not reachable.

I absolutely hate leaving these types of reviews but I feel that paying customers should be aware Before spending their hard earned money here when there are many restaurants who will place more importance and value on the quality of their food, their staff and their customers.

We came here a year ago and had a great experience, so we returned expecting the same. What we got instead was one of the worst meals we’ve had in any restaurant, and I would strongly warn others to avoid this place.

The kebab was so hard it was difficult to cut. The potatoes were reheated and just as hard. The vine leaves had undercooked rice, and the cheese rolls tasted like pure oil. The only things that were actually edible were the chicken soup and the hummus.

Two people in our group became sick afterward, likely because several items tasted old. We left full plates of untouched food on the table.

To make things worse, the waiter spent more than 30 minutes trying to reach his manager, who never showed up. He was left entirely on his own to handle the whole dining room, help the kitchen, and respond to multiple other customers who were also complaining.

We still paid $150 simply because we felt bad for the server, but the food should have been fully comped.

Bottom line: the food quality is unacceptable, the management is absent. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

We wanted to have a special night because we bought a new car and wanted to celebeate it, but they ruined it. They charged us 160$ for a 10$ food. Quality and quantity was not good at all. We were there last year and it was completely different food, price and experince. I think they changed a management team and destroyed the restaurant. It's sad. That's why the place was 80% empty on Saturday night.

Attention ! Le propriétaire du restaurant surveille le stationnement par caméra et fera remorquer votre voiture si vous ne mangez pas dans son établissement. Ce n’est pas une blague — ça m’est arrivé aujourd’hui. Ça m’a coûté 220 $ plus un trajet Uber pour récupérer ma voiture. Je partage simplement pour éviter que ça n’arrive à quelqu’un d’autre ! C’est clairement une combine douteuse entre le restaurant et la compagnie de remorquage — une vraie arnaque. Racket organisé, soyez prudents !

Un souvenir inoubliable au Mardin Palace Nous avons célébré nos 25 ans de mariage au Mardin Palace le 28 octobre 2025, et ce fut une soirée absolument mémorable. L’accueil fut d’une grande élégance, avec des apéritifs offerts qui ont parfaitement lancé le ton de la soirée : raffinement, attention et générosité. Le cadre est somptueux, la cuisine exquise et le service irréprochable. Chaque plat était une découverte, alliant finesse et saveurs délicates. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour cette expérience unique et chaleureuse. Nous garderons un souvenir impérissable de cette soirée au Mardin Palace. Elena B.

we went there for a birthday with no reservations. they found us a table even tho it wasn’t really empty in there. great service nice staff amazing food. all round a 5 stars experience .
