I tend to avoid places that expect a tip for basic purchases like bread or a croissant. Parking is often a challenge since nearly half of the available spaces outside are reserved for staff. There’s usually a line every time you walk in, and the shop could really benefit from better organization, considering they have enough staff to manage the flow more efficiently.
Dolce Sappore is a decent bakery that fits its role in the neighborhood. While it doesn't particularly stand out, it reliably offers a good selection of baked goods. The bread and pastries are satisfactory and fresh, and the service is efficient. It's a good option when you're nearby, but not a destination bakery.
If you are looking for wonderful pastries for a special occasion or just something to bring when visiting a friends, or you don't feel like cooking a meal, you MUST visit this place. A large counter of a great variety of authentic Italian food and sandwiches at very reasonable prices gets your mouth watering as soon as you walk in. Pick up some homemade sauce, or breaded chicken cutlets maybe a sheet pizza, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
