I don't know where to start so let's enter inside first ..

The first encouter you get will most likely set the tone for the rest and the manager at the door did just that. A zombie that looked at me top to bottom like i didn't belong there.

Philinos gives you a sense of high end, higher standard type of greek restaurant but its not..

I payed 39$ for a small bowl of rubber fried calamari
17$ for a bland grec salad (again another small bowl), 68$ for 2 pieces of 5cm lamb and half inch chicken filets (at least that was good)
36$ for 3 Baklava cheesecake.
Side note** we celebrated 3 birthdays at once. None even one of the cheescake was gifted.

I got robbed. The waiteress was very good but left alone on a crowded restaurant. All that to get the payment terminal ripped from my hands and vanishing without saying anything. Philinos was based on someone's recommandation while any other greek restaurant would've done better.

My family was deeply disspapointed. Manager should greet, make sure she's properly staffed and to stop robbing people. We're no fools

I will never go back nor recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience! The food was delicious, full of authentic flavors, and the warm atmosphere made the evening even better.

A huge shout-out to Sharon, our server, who was absolutely outstanding. She was attentive, professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient — she truly made our visit exceptional.

I highly recommend Philinos, especially if you’re lucky enough to be served by Sharon!

We have been going to this place on a regular bases with another couple. Food, ambiance, and service have been good. Always made reservations for a table buy a window, never had a problem. This last time we made reservations 4 days in advance. When we arrived we were seated by the window by our waitress. Seconds later she came back apologetically asking us to move to another table. Reason being that a larger group was coming and needed to accommodate for them. The only available table was close to the entrance in the busiest spot. The woman that stood behind her podium at the entrance began talking to us and all staff went silent. Apparently reservations by a window are not guaranteed. Mind you the restaurant was three quarters empty and every single table had a reserved sign on them, even the ones by the window. After politely arguing with her, not one of us raised our voices, we left. She claimed to be the owner. She was rude condescending and arrogant. Her excuses made absolutely no sense. Needless to say we will not be returning. We ended up at La Casa Greque where, by the way, we were treated exceptionally well by our waiter and other staff. The food was also very good.

Food was not that great for the price, service was pretty poor if I’m being honest. Speaking from someone who worked in many restaurants before and knows what to expect (service and food wise) it did not impress me one bit. You can find MUCH better Greek food else where for a better price. Would not be coming back and do not recommend.

Terrible place to go with kids , dirty looks from staff, clients all smiled but for some reason the lady in front(manager i think) kept given us dirty looks. if you don't want people to come with kids just put a sign ill go spend 250 some place where i'm welcomed!!! lol food was alright.

From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like family. Every detail, from the welcome to the recommendations, was spot-on.

We have been to Philinos multiple times with our family and have never been disappointed—the food and staff have always been amazing. Unfortunately, tonight completely changed that experience and left us feeling extremely insulted.
It started right when we walked in: my 2-year-old picked up a fake olive that wasn’t even on the branch of the decorative tree at the entrance. She tried to eat it, we immediately stopped her, and what I assume was the manager made a comment along the lines of “yeah, maybe don’t break it off the tree.” I explained she hadn’t done that, but the remark already felt rude and unnecessary.
Later during the evening, my daughters were excited and chatting (not screaming, just being kids), when a waitress who wasn’t even assigned to our table came over and actually shushed them. I was shocked—this is supposed to be a family restaurant! The tipping point came when the same waitress returned to tell me I needed to “control my kids” because supposedly some guests had left due to them. For context, we were 6 adults and 4 children under 5. Our kids were not misbehaving—if they raised their voices, we immediately told them to be respectful. They were simply enjoying themselves.
To be told, essentially, to silence my kids in a family restaurant was the most insulting and disrespectful experience we’ve ever had dining out. I voiced this to the waitress, who then left our table. The manager never came over to apologize or clarify. The only one who showed any professionalism was our actual waitress, who was apologetic and even admitted she didn’t know why the other server interfered.
We have always loved the food at Philinos, but after tonight, this will no longer be our go-to family restaurant. No family should be made to feel unwelcome or embarrassed simply because their children are enjoying themselves.

Appetizers were ok, service was mediocre. Reasonable amount of staff for a Saturday night, yet it took about 1hr 30mins to receive our main meal and we were two at the table. In addition, our two orders were the same
2 souvlakia with steamed greens and oven potatoes. So the question is: are there not enough cooks or are they not working fast enough? As well, most dishes are overpriced and the menu lacks variety.

Atmosphere: doesn’t look or feel Greek, doesn’t feel inviting. No A/C, maybe no central air either? We were sweating at the table by 20h (8pm). Disappointing first impression and experience.
