Restaurant L'Avenue Laval

I Iove a good sweet brunch but this place didn’t really deliver. The service was friendly and reliable but the food was very average. The French toast was a bit hard and it was quite expensive compared to other chain brunch spots in Laval. The decor was cool but this place is a bit overhyped.

The service was really good, i have to say also that the environment was very calm at 8:30am on a sunday morning. The whole meal was made with great quality ingredients. And globaly very satisfied, a big plus is the real maple syrup on the table that in my opinion is a shame for other restaurant in Quebec not to have any.. maybe the only down side for us was that the potatoes have a little bit too much added to it, too much garlic, I would personaly prefer it tasty but more simply seasoned. I strongly advise people to go discover it on an early subday morning after opening when you have very little people there, it IS an enjoyable experience !

Bad, BAD , BAD,, the BIO concept didnt work, nobody ate in our table, tasteless, scrambled eggs uncooked, pancake tastes like my shoe ( no taste) ,, cretons ( i still dont know what it was, may be not suited for human consumption) ,, good decor, great music, good service,, too bad the food is a waste!!!! Sad!

Overpriced, the waiter attitude was good but the order was delivered at two different times. The food was good but nothing special, only more expensive than other places offering a similar menu. 3.5

First time visit and it will be the last one! All went wrong from the beginning, coffee took forever to be served. Orders came out wrong, runny eggs on one dish, folded eggs instead of scrambled on the other and yellow kraft cheese omelet instead of Swiss cheese. We asked for no onions or salsa on the omelet, they forgot and served it with. The lemon blueberry pancakes were crispy and by far nowhere near fluffy. The blueberries are not in the pancakes but instead heavy blueberry jam is smeared on each one topped up with cream, disgusting. To boot there was a hair in the pot the side potatoes were served in. They replaced it but was totally gross to find it. The brown bread is actually multigrain but they don't say that to you when you ask for it. And as far as the endless cup of coffee ... had to chase them for the first cup, let alone refills.
Waste of money and totally aggravated by the whole experience.

I've been coming to L'Avenue for years now, both in mtl and Laval. The food in either locations is extremely consistent and mind-blowingly delicious.

The Dubai chocolate french toast was 11/10 levels of flavor, texture, and richness. Almost unbelievable.

The eggs are very high quality, the yolk is literally orange. Even the bread is artisanal and has the perfect flavor and crunch.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Another location another great experience. Huge portion, fun atmosphere and always great food! Amazing coffee drinks can’t go wrong. Table of 14 everyone enjoyed their food!

The food was very good. French toast was a little on the dry side, but overall tasty.

Service left much to be desired. Our server took our drink order, she brought our coffees 10 minutes after we ordered which was fine and my smoothie came by a runner. She comes back to take our food order, food comes out by runner, and for over an hour, she never checks on us. Every time we tried to get her attention, she would quickly look away from us. It took another 30 minutes after our meal to get the check.

Absolutely loved it!
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was electric — walls bursting with funky, vibrant graffiti that gave the place so much personality. The service? Top-notch. Friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the team cares about what they do. A perfect mix of cool atmosphere and excellent customer care.
