Restaurant Le Vieux Four de Laval

Nous sommes allé au resto samedi soir pour un anniversaire, nous étions un petit groupe. Nous avons été servis par Chanel, tout un service, elle était très attentionnée, personne très gentille vraiment ça vaut le détour ! Et que dire des gnocchis vraiment ce sont les meilleurs que j’ai mangé. À refaire ! 🙋‍♀️🙏

Excellent service !

Honestly one of my most favourite Italian restaurants. Pizzas are cooked in a wood&stove oven - but careful to the new trainee who was having some issues with pulling out the pizzas in time (many burnt crusts!). The pasta gigi were excellent! The ambiance was nice.

Comment: we were sat near the pizza stove, and the benches sank so much that it was almost uncomfortable to eat for those of us on that side of the table. Those sitting in front of us seemed so much higher up that it seemed like they were looking 'down' to talk to us.

The service was great!

La soupe à l'onion est incroyable, les pâtes que j'ai manger était quand même bonne mais pas extraordinaire. L'ambiance est bien ! Le samedi soir le restaurant se tourne en piste de danse plus tard dans la soirée, donc pour ceux qui ne sont pas intéressés par ça, les conversations deviennent difficiles étant donné le volume de la musique.

My wife and I ate very well. The service is excellent. The price may be a little expensive for some but the quality is there. You have to book, the restaurant is full and if you have difficulty walking, plan to have a lift because the parking lot is small.

After witnessing a waitress in the name of Marilou getting drunk at the bar with her customers and then causing a mess at the neighboring table through her lack of civility and professionalism. Throw the plates, spray the table with odorous cleaning products with the food present, leave the table to themselves to help themselves and eat without plates or cutlery...

The icing on the situation that stunned us to the point where we also decided to leave the restaurant? The waitress Marilou took the hands of the customer who was trying to pay her bill and simply left because she insisted on choosing her own tip!?! Is it even the same as doing that?

Hoping that the administration takes the necessary sanctions with this employee who clearly has consumption problems in the workplace!

We had a reservation at 5:30 p.m. My dish, a pizza, was served to me at 6:55 p.m. My wife had already finished her plate. We arrived just in time for our show.

Drosophila flies accompanied us for supper. I am very disappointed. This restaurant has already been one of our favorites ☹️

The dishes are excellent, however, we had more than ordinary service... It took 1 hour to receive a first course, the pizza in the oven. My plate arrived when my partner had finished her pizza, +/- 30 minutes later, so it took 1h30 before I got my plate of paws.

The waitress seemed very friendly but was not very present. No plate to separate our Caesar salad as requested, no offer of desert, never came to see if everything was okay during the meal, long delays in receiving the invoices even though the table had been cleaned. Waitress with great attitude when we mentioned our dissatisfaction to her.

We will not return there for these reasons.
