The hostess is super rude. We arrived on Saturday at 6, yes I understand that the place is "full" but I could have said the waiting time, but their coffee and their super rude attitude I'm going to see if the waitress wants to serve you on the floor below. Bad reception

This is the fourth time I have visited the restaurant in its new location and the truth is that I have never had the slightest inconvenience. Today, at 1:30 p.m., I made a reservation to have lunch with my mother. When we arrived the service was good and we both consumed $71. I personalized the tip and rounded it up to $75. The waitress who served us came to me to ask if there was a problem or why I hadn't left her a minimum of 15% out of obligation. When I explained to her that everything was fine but that I had other financial responsibilities and that I couldn't leave her a little more than I would have liked, she began to tell me that she was not being paid and that she was getting $6 an hour and that she was living on tips in a disrespectful way. This made me uncomfortable and I asked him if I could leave him a bigger tip on a card since I didn't have cash. She refused, got angry and reluctantly left. I love this restaurant because it's about my country and my cuisine, but with this kind of attention I won't go back.

Poor service... After 2 hours of waiting we ate. Starters arrive at the same time as the main courses. We ask for a cocktail and you have to ask like 4 times for it to arrive. I come too often and today is my sister's birthday and the singers never came to our table... I had reserved for 20 people and when we arrived they were setting up the tables and there were still missing tables we had to sit very close together to fit all into the tables which were reserved for 16 people instead of 20...
I don't think I'll come anymore. In addition the waiter was not friendly in a bad mood and he did not wait for customers to finish their requests. I'm really disappointed.

Bad experience for December 31, 2024!
My family and I decided to book at this restaurant for New Year's Eve, hoping to have a good atmosphere and good service. We knew it was a table d’hôte + $15 entry. On the other hand, when we arrived we realized that we had been put in the basement!! We were a few tables in the basement, without atmosphere, surrounded by a white wall, like in a church basement. The DJ, the show, the atmosphere, the music, everything was on the first floor! We felt isolated or punished downstairs by listening to the atmosphere upstairs. Worst experience for the new year! When I asked the manager to find us a table upstairs, he still tried, but what I find discouraging is that even though there were empty tables because people were late, we However, we were left downstairs even though we had arrived very early!! At the end, they sent dancers downstairs and turned off the lights for music and ambiance, but the whole thing was already ruined… we spent the evening surrounded by white wall and waiting for the service very very long (which I can understand, because there were a lot of people). But next time it's better to close the basement for this kind of event. We hadn't even been notified on the phone, because if I had known, I would have made the reservation elsewhere! Because we paid quite a lot to have spent the whole evening isolated in the basement…
In short, very disappointed and I do not recommend.

We reserved on purpose for December 31st at this restaurant because we were told on the phone the atmosphere will be amazing and there will be a DJ, dancers and danse floor to celebrate the new year. None told us we will be placed in the basement of the restaurant. Mind they weren’t even able to find our reservation ( made 10 days ago in advance) at first. I would strongly suggest to close basement floor for next celebration event at this restaurant.
Throughout the night, we felt there were 2 celebrations happening simultaneously in the restaurant, one on the main floor for new year festivities and us in the basement coming for a community meal in a basement of a church. Although at end, the organizer remembered us and send dancers to cheer up the atmosphere but the night was already ruined and whole experience is not justifiable for us to pay the same admission price than those on main floor.
We waited 2:30 hours for our food, which is in part understandable due to the number of guests in the restaurant at day. But the food was very saltier than usually, and felt not worth the price of holiday special menu. it came out to $100 + per person at the end.

I will tell about my experience at the Restaurant on December 31, 2024! For me it was one of the best Peruvian restaurants, I visited it very often. I wanted to experience spending the new year in a restaurant and I chose this one! And luckily for me and my family, they sent us to Sous-sol as if we were in a church hall, the atmosphere of joy was upstairs on the first floor and we paid the same costs as those on the first floor. and we feel forgotten, humiliated and paying for the same services! It was a terrible experience for me! When we made the reservation, they didn't tell us that they were going to put us at Sous-sol. If I had known that, I would choose another restaurant without thinking twice! My recommendation as a client is that on those holidays do not make the mistake of filling the sousol only at the top so that you can have excellent service and satisfied clients! For my part, I do not recommend spending a holiday in this restaurant because they do not tell you when you reserve if they are going to send you to Sousol!

I'm a little sorry for my bad review but I hope that this review can help to improve, the service and the atmosphere are great but the meals I feel are starting to diminish the quality a little in relation to the prices who are still raised. I tried the green spaghetti dish with dad a la huancaina unfortunately I really didn't like it, the Yuca Ceviche was HARD really not edible also too many onions,, charged more than $100 for 2 people.

I'm very angry, I went to this restaurant for dinner, the ají de gallina that I ordered was very horrible, it didn't even taste good, and for the price it wasn't worth it and I tried better meals in other restaurants Peruvian.
I showed up for my Mom's Day this Thursday, 01/23/2025 at 5:40 p.m. What a DISAPPOINTMENT!!. Do NOT WASTE your money.
1- The hostess hardly understands French.
2- It’s cold in the restaurant. 2 tables changed places due to lack of heating. AT THE END OF THE MEAL the waiter informs me that he has increased the heat. A LITTLE LATE I think.
3- The service is slow and there were 4 tables in the restaurant.
4- The PLATES were WARM. So we finished our meals COLD.
5- The waiter is inattentive to pay my bill I had to go 15 feet from the door (with my coat on my back) so that they understand that we are leaving. It's what ?? a McDonald’s??
6- The tip deserved 10% MAXIMUM. Out of simple pity I gave 15.
7- I KNOW Solymar WELL in Villeray. --Laval has nothing to see, it's a CATASTROPHE!!--
8- WELL WARNED about my mother's birthday, they sang happy birthday at 2 tables EXCEPT ours. DISOPILATING!! For our Mother's Day.
***Please AVOID THIS RESTAURANT unless you want ORDINARY WARM FOOD (in Laval) and CATASTROPHIC SERVICE!!!!. SIMPLE ADVICE; GO ELSEWHERE or your EXPERIENCE and MONEY will be WASTED and RUINED.

The chaufa rice dish has only 3 small pieces of chicken. It does not justify paying 33 CAD for rice and only three small pieces of chicken, I will go and complain because I picked it up and saw it at home.
