They charge 15% service charge without even telling you. When paying the bill, be careful since they don't show you the bill, but do add extra stuff to the total bill without telling you.Service charge should be optional, and you pay what you want; but you cannot add a service charge without telling me, when it is not even written on the menu that you'd be adding that.

I rarely leave negative reviews but felt it's better to write a few things here so the owners can take note of it. Firstly, the owner himself is quite arrogant and refuses to accept any issues with his service. We ordered mutton curry but were served beef, which wouldn't be a major issue for us but could be for someone who doesn't have beef. But when we asked about it, he refused blatantly, and didn't even take a look at what was on our table. Also, he was insulting a couple of bangladeshi kids right infront of us when they inquired about his service charge policy. I would refrain from going into details, but the comments about how bangladeshi people are not well-mannered were uncalled for, and more appropriate for him than the customers he was speaking to. He questioned their income, said they haven't learnt canadian etiquette and humiliated them for no reason, when they were perfectly in the right there. They were saying it should be mentioned on the menu that there is a certain service charge imposed and i agree. That is transparency. And the way he was belittling his customers is appalling. It's not how a restaurant owner should talk. To me it seemed like he is the one who hasn't learnt any etiquette yet. And lastly, the environment was terrible. Right infront of us, they were running around having their personal conversations and discussing everything which ruined the mood. Also, we kept asking for fresh cutlery but the waiter didn't seem to care. Neither did the owner. Lastly, if the food was good, i would have probably refrained from saying so much. But the menu has very few items and the food is relatively pricey, while the taste is merely average. And the owner behaves as if he is feeding you for charity - every feedback or request you may have regarding your own order will be invalidated and ignored here. I didn't have any arguments with them, but unfortunately, the whole time is was there, i felt really disappointed and felt like they should not be operating like this in Canada using this name here because the real star kabab from bd is nothing like this. And if they want to mislead customers and use the name of such a popular restaurant in bd, the least they can do is improve the standard of their service and food.
