20 minute wait for a refresher drink and they messed up my order (I ordered on the app as well 15 minutes before arriving and still had to wait another 10 minutes in store)

The service is very poor. The staff in the store have a very bad attitude and are very slow. It takes a long time to drink a cup of coffee that does not meet Starbucks standards. It tastes terrible. I hope that people who see this will not come to this coffee shop again.

Service was slow (waited 20 minutes for a mobile pickup order) and the staff didn’t feel very welcoming.
It was my first time at this location and I will not be going out of my way to come back. I stopped by on a weekday around 11am and while it was a bit busy, it definitely wasn’t busy enough to justify waiting that long for a coffee I ordered online. I waited by the clearly labeled mobile pickup area which is actually separated by a wall from the in-store pickup section. They placed my drink in the in-store section but luckily I was there to hear my name being called. Otherwise, I would’ve just kept waiting for my order.
Overall, the place just felt disorganized. There’s no indoor seating (just an outdoor patio) and no music playing inside, so the vibe inside felt kind of flat and uninviting.
I really miss the old Starbucks next to Indigo. The baristas there were super friendly, the vibe was fun, the service was much quicker, and I always felt welcomed. At this new location, it felt like I was bothering the staff just by picking up my coffee. No one checked in or offered help while I stood around waiting either.

I was at this Starbucks during the exact incident described in the previous review. While it’s true the staff was short-handed and service was delayed, what that review completely ignores is how the customer acted.
He shouted at the staff, created a scene in front of everyone, and disrespected employees who were clearly doing their best under pressure.
Yes, service matters. But so does basic human respect. We are all humans before we are customers. That should never be forgotten!

As blunt as my shared photo can be, that’s exactly how my review of this Starbucks at Espace Montmorency will be.
I’ve been a loyal Starbucks customer since 2001, and I’ve always appreciated both their coffee and their customer service across North America. But this Laval location? Easily one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. If Google allowed zero stars, that’s exactly what I would give — the only reason it gets one star is for the brand name itself.
Here’s the issue: the store is split into two sections — mobile pickup and in-store pickup — separated by a thick wall. On one side, the baristas seem to be in constant disarray, as if the whole system collapses every time someone takes a break. On the other side, mobile orders pile up endlessly while customers wait 20+ minutes without any acknowledgment.
Communication is practically nonexistent. The only interaction is hearing names being called out. If you order multiple items (say a drink plus sandwiches), expect your sandwiches to sit and get cold while you wait for drinks to come out one at a time.
What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of customer care: no updates, no explanations, not even a simple “sorry for the wait.” Instead, customers just stand quietly, holding in their frustration while the staff acts as though everything is perfectly fine.
Bottom line: this Starbucks location does not reflect the brand’s usual standards and desperately needs management intervention.

Slow service. Sells products online that's not available in store.
Chats and draws/writes cards while customers are waiting for drinks.
The Chapters Starbucks that got closed just nearby was 200% better.

The worst experience I ever had at this Starbucks. One star is too much for the staff and service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO GO THERE. Extreme rudeness and lacking manners.

First time going to this Starbucks the only girl that was working today Thursday April 10 around 3:30 pm had such bad attitude! I’m at the front, instead of saying “may I take your order?” Or literally just anything she’s just standing there and starts giving me dirty looks like first impression HORRIBLE. Then I see her with my drink she puts it the other side of the wall. Everyone has been getting their order where I was standing she looks at me “ta commande et l’autre coter du mur.” Why didn’t you just pass it to me??? They’ve been calling everyone’s name the side I was and giving their drink but me she puts my drink the other side and tells me go get it there yourself? No just no. 0 stars for this young girl the worst customer service I ever received. Usually all the employees at Starbucks have good communication and good spirit. Hire better people!!!
