I wasn't sure what to expect when I set foot in this establishment recently. But I live nearby and I promised myself I would go for a walk. What a pleasant surprise I had! These days, with so many restaurants offering generic and banal food, it's refreshing to see one offering inspired, and above all, tasty dishes! The people are friendly, the service impeccable. I loved it. And I asked for more! I'll go back, that's for sure. I warmly recommend him without the slightest hesitation.

I ordered the pappardelle bolognese. I was truly looking forward to it. As soon as I removed the cover, there was a bizarre smell. I went ahead and tried it as I was starving. It was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. I don’t know who made that sauce but I can assure you I will never be ordering from that place again. And the pappardelle were soggy as hell. What a disappointment!!!

Homestyle Italian dishes crafted by an actual Italian guy. What’s not to love? The Cavatelli was nice and chewy, and was filled with delicious sweet tasting rapini and bits of meatballs. The polpette pizza, crushed meatballs make this pie a must try. We devoured it.The menu? Simple, but oh-so-tasty. Appetizers, pizzas, pastas, calzones, veal parmigiana - they've got it all. And guess what? It's BYOB! Two for $22 pick-up menus on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the cherry on top.Parking: A few spots in the free parking lot or park on the side streetsKid-friendliness: Family style

Well, let me tell you about this Italian joint gem. Homestyle Italian dishes crafted by an actual Italian guy. Yep, that's the kind of authenticity we're talking about! So, it was one of those lazy days when my friend and I just couldn't summon the energy to whip up lunch. Our local pals had been raving about this place, so we thought, why not? Off we went to Trattoria Sapori di Puglia. Here's where the magic begins. We kicked things off with a Brio - a sweeter Canadian twist on a chinotto bitter-sweet soft drink. Then, we dove into the Cavatelli Pugliese and the Polpetta Pizza - their house specials. The Cavatelli was nice and chewy, and the dish was filled with delicious sweet tasting rapini and bits of meatballs. The secret is to blanche the rapini prior to sautéeing it to remove its excessive bitterness and to tenderize it says the Chef and owner Nick Selvaggio. The clencher was the polpette pizza, crushed meatballs make this pie a must try. We devoured it. Oh, and here's the secret weapon - ask for their house hot chili oil. Brace yourself and go wild with extra spicy Orto di Beppe Trinidad Moruga Scorpion hot sauce if you're feeling adventurous. The menu? Simple, but oh-so-tasty. Appetizers, pizzas, pastas, calzones, veal parmigiana - they've got it all. And guess what? It's BYOB! Two for $22 pick-up menus on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the cherry on top. Oh, did I mention their catering menu? Picture this: roasted lamb marsala, veal milanese, lasagna - a feast fit for kings. Ideal for family gatherings or chilling with friends. So, next time you find yourself in Laval or cruising down Highway 15 from Montreal, do yourself a favour - swing by Trattoria Sapori di Puglia. Trust me; you're in for an Italian experience that'll make you say, "Bellissimo!"

Wonderful dining experience. Quaint restaurant with an uncomplicated menu. Panzerotti and pizza were wonderful. Seeing that it is a bring-your-own-wine restaurant, we enjoyed our meal with a delicious Lambrusco wine. Just perfect.

We catered an event for 40 adults and 10 kids. Everything was absolutely delicious! The quality of the food was fantastic; everything was cooked in olive oil and the tomato sauce was so good. Nick is so helpful for adjustment (allergies, vegetarian, etc.) and very responsive. We will definitely be going back whether it’s for catering or if we crave one of his yummy focaccia’s! Thank you again Nick, you knocked it out of the park.
