Beautiful little sugar shack, the food is just okay, it's really not worth the price. Unfortunately the problem comes from the owner, a completely disorganized eccentric man. I have witnessed his behavior towards several employees, he simply lacks respect for them and I take my hat off to them for working so hard without recognition. Without the employees who despite everything do their best this sugar shack would be mediocre.

Main course: goodDessert: greatAmbiance: goodService: the only reason I'd not come back to this particular Cabane a Sucre. The reviews for this place are mixed and I get why. If you are fine sitting for 3 hours to consume food, and don't have young children, it isn't that horrible that service is basically non-existent. But if service matters, this place will frustrate you very quickly. The other bad reviews touching on the poor service are spot on.The owner is around, he's very nice. And you can tell he is passionate. But he needs new service staff or maybe just a bigger team. And waiting 30 to 60 minutes in between services is just not acceptable. One last thing : this business is basically unreachable by any means. Phone, email, messenger. Zero responses. We called at least a dozen times over the course of the week during business hours to get some information and never got through. That needs to be addressed.

Very small sugar shack. Good traditional food. No drinks on site. Bring your own wine.Unfortunately, there is a huge lack of staff. The manager was very rude telling us he was too busy to seat our family together even though we said so when booking. The waitress told us he sleeps 2 hours a night and is stressed... warned us of a severe allergy and he told us he didn't have any of that food in the building and there obviously was in the bread. The set up upon arrival is very poorly organized. Very small home for a large amount of people. One person to seat 50 guests. No maple taffy outside. The snow was empty and no one came to fill it. Funny place...

No atmosphere, no music or guitar or singer, 60/72 seats reserved for a company which should have been alone in the place. for marinades only grated beets! We had to ask for them as well as the cabbage and coffee. No juice, acceptable food according to taste, really too expensive for the experience

First time at a sugar shack. The food was delicious and very plentiful. We were the only non-french speakers at our table and both the staff local quebecoise were welcoming.

The pea soup was bland. No ham or lard in it. They served quiche with pulled pork, beans and potatoes. Hot dog sausages in syrup. That is not traditional. Dessert was good, funnel cake and inverted cake. They had some animation. Good for groups.

It's pretty decent as a sugar shack, nothing special, but it's not really worth the price. I know cheaper ones that are much better. The space inside is small, we are quite crowded. The service is very long. Food too salty. Not very generous with his taffy, the gentleman only did small spots and after three services quickly left to welcome new groups and never came back. The animals are in unenviable conditions, especially the chickens who are crammed into a muddy and extremely nauseating enclosure. However, the service is excellent. The employees are smiling, polite and dynamic, they do their best despite the large number of customers to serve and the limited space. Concretely, the room is well decorated, the space is very warm.Overall, I really enjoyed my experience but I probably won't come back. I only recommend if you don't have a car to get anywhere else.

Everything is bad, the food tasteless and the service non-existent, even the exterior is ugly.

Sugar shack to avoid!!! We were only served one round of food and then waited 1 hour for dessert. The waiters avoided us, the food was ordinary, there was no bacon and we had to ask 3 times for coffee. For $120 with taxes for me and my girlfriend it's an exorbitant price for the quantity of food and the service we received. The seraph sugar shack, shame on you

Endless service, we have to ask several times to end up having bread again and we don't dare ask for anything more because we feel very well that we are disturbing by asking for more and the waiters only come by very very rarely. 45 minutes to get coffee, very very very ordinary food: dry and hard ham, ultra-cooked and therefore mushy beans, etc. (and let's not talk about the quantities, especially for the price!). A sugar tart cut into mini wedges for a table of 15 people... and the icing on the sundae: no taffy at the end!!! After 2 hours of waiting in the dining room (including 1 hour to wait for dessert) we go outside for the taffy: no, we have to wait until there are more people. Unfortunately, the majority of people left suddenly after dessert because we weren't the only ones who were extremely tired of waiting. Never again.

Decent service, but we're stuck in sardines and I don't like the concept of a shared table with strangers. It’s okay, but the food is LAD!!!The pea soup had an aftertaste of water ➡️ MID!!!Crisse ears were “crunch” hard ➡️ MID!!!Very ordinary baked beans, nothing exceptionalThe problem is that the essential food for a memorable sugar shack is MID!!!
