“It's a Monday night, calm and easy. The tempature outside was perfect for biking in. The bartender was pleasant and gave us a seat in back next to a water fountain. The decor from inside to out really stands out and makes you wonder how the more occupied nights hold out. The food was good and drink to taste. We would definitely return to their busy weekend nights.“

“We recently stayed at David Hotel and this pub was recommended to us by a server at a nearby restaurant and it happened to be be just down the street from the hotel. After the first night, we actually went every evening for a night cap and even had lunch one day (the hamburgers are amazing). The atmosphere and the staff are really welcoming and fun. Highly recommended!“

“We had lunch at this # Brasseurs location on St-Paul E. in Old Montreal on Thursday May 2, 2024. We choose this because we had a very good time at the other on on Rue de St-Denis on Tue 4/30/24. We had just completed a 2-1/2 hr walking tour that ended near here. So exploring is thirsty work & it was lunch time. Big brewpub with 2 levels. The upper level was hosting about 100 high school students on a field trip. We sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the busy bartender, Marina. She brought menus & waters and took our drink orders. I had a spicy Bloody Maria ($6.75) & my bride had a white wine ($10). I had a loaded, juicy burger w/ frites ($20) and she had the chicken Caesar salad ($16). Well prepared, burger hot & salad cold-perfect. “It's a nice local pub. The food is good, the beer is cold, the service is friendly. Trivia, open mic, live music and other events they have are usually great. The rooftop terrasse on a summer evening is unbeatable. It's not fancy, it's not perfect, but I always end up enjoying myself.“

Après avoir expliqué la situation au gérant Sam, il me propose des shooters gratuits en compensation, ce que j'accpate directement! Malgré cela, il me sort de l'établissement en prétextant la fermeture du bar. Aggressivement, et sur un ton très condescendant, il m'informe que le bar doit fermer à l'instant, et que je dois quitter sur le champ... Je n'ai jamais reçu ce qui m'était du, et offert!! Personnellement, le bar: "Le madame smith" est un bar où je ne retournerai plus jamais, tant le service que pour le respect du client! -1/10 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼“

The duck poutine was unique and tasty, though the fries and gravy could have been better. The bison burger was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, a solid spot, but not mind-blowing.“
