NYKS was a wonderful discovery of this weekend. Pleasant and inviting atmosphere, lovely outdoor terrace, delicious cocktails. The food menu looks interesting and tempting, we’re already looking forward to coming back to try it. The service was friendly and attentive as well. I also really liked that it’s tucked just around the corner from the busy Sainte-Catherine Street, so it feels like a peaceful little escape.
Vibrant atmosphere, excellent food. Delicious French Onion Soup. The best fish n chips I’ve ever had. So good and so crispy and crunchy! The side salad was fresh and amazing! Totally enjoyed dinner at NYKS.

The menu features fresh and expertly prepared dishes, including the red snapper with tomato mango salsa and lemon pepper basmati rice, as well as delicious lamb sausage and duck poutine. The duck confit poutine is especially praised for its crispy fries, rich gravy, squeaky cheese curds, and a generous piece of duck. The bar provides great value cocktails and delicious beer, while the friendly and attentive staff ensure a good experience. Guests have enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich, describing it as “like a full dinner,” with the fries being some of the best in Montreal. The vibe is cool, with great music, stylish decor, and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, making it a cozy spot for both solo visits and gatherings. The location near Place des Arts is convenient, and the warm layout adds to the comfort. Despite its small size, which can make the space feel a bit tight, the lively atmosphere makes up for it. The knowledgeable bartender has been appreciated for creating memorable experiences. Overall, NYKS is recommended for its friendly staff, good food, and fantastic drinks.
