Stayed in Magog for a few days in early October. Came almost every day to La Shop for breakfast. Great coffee -- love the Dirty Chai! and they have the best toast ever!

We went for lunch on a Sunday at the end of August 2023 and a series of events happened which meant that we did not see the quality in this restaurant. As much in terms of coffee, food and service.Here's what was wrong for us: very long wait to receive the menus, very long wait to receive the coffees, coffee that tastes burnt, cappuccino offered in a bowl (like a latte), glasses of water requested never received, eggs bland scrambled meats, burnt bacon, 3-4 moldy raspberries on the plate, potatoes that taste like they were frozen, and a tiny, expensive chia pudding that looked like it was made 2 days before. In terms of service, the girls were in awe: unfortunately, we were treated to a sigh and a roll of our eyes when we asked for utensils to eat with. It had made her lose her memory of the neighbor's order, which she had just taken. She went back to tell her "she was interrupted" and to take her back. This neighbor actually received the wrong meat on his plate twice and left after that without finishing. Once things were on the table, the waitresses would leave super quickly and no longer look at us. It's a shame because the utensils, ketchup, salt and pepper, glasses of water were missing... all things that could have been provided in advance for the customers and which did not justify the attitude of the waitresses when asked.In short, it was a curious experience and unfortunately it doesn't make us want to try a second time.

Worst service ever received. Our waitress was stupid and expeditious, we only saw her when taking the order (in which she made a mistake), then not at all. We also heard her being unpleasant with one of her colleagues. On the plate, my (tiny) portion of fruit included a moldy raspberry, a wedge of dry clementine and a few pieces of outdated strawberries. My advice? Go somewhere else.
Disappointment with the Duck Cheese Grill. Very little filling in the sanwich it was flattttt.! And also on weekends we don’t offer the accompanying biscuit!

Not that it wasn't good, but I really didn't understand the hype from other reviews. The food was acceptable and service was fine but it's noisy and rushed. Their idea of a side of fruits seemed to be 4 blueberries, half a strawberry, 1 raspberry and two clementine wedges. They charged 5$ extra for two tiny little slices of bacon...Save your money. There's plenty of better places around.

Meh... I don't get the hype. Food was very overpriced for quality and quantity. Service was ok, one waitress was annoyingly condescending and the other one was nice. Would not recommend, and will not go back.
