This is a very homey, unpretentious place with excellent food. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a quiet Sunday afternoon. I ordered the Spaghetti alla carbonara and my wife ordered a smoked salmon pasta - both were excellent. It's rare to find a carbonara made in the authentic Roman way with guanciale, parmesan and egg (most places use a cream-based sauce). This dish was authentic and did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. My wife's salmon pasta was also amazing with lots of salmon flavour. We also shared a very credible half-litre of Nero d'Avolo for only $22.
The food was great. Wine was very good. And the bill was very reasonable.

Found this gem of a small village on our way back from Montreal to Toronto. We had the Alfredo pasta and it was delicious. Moreover, the restaurant has a homey feel and is run by husband and wife. Would highly recommend ☺️

Stopped in on our way back to Ottawa for a snack. Immediately the owners were incredibly hospitable. I ordered a carbonara but since my partner was driving he wanted something handheld. The owner suggested a small coldcut sandwich which was on a different menu and it was perfect.
He offered us a seat and water as we waited, and was very kind. We devoured our food in the car, it was delicious.
I read some reviews about the carbonara being un seasoned and didn't have a lot of meat, but mine was VERY well seasoned and a generous portion of meat. Portion sizes could arguably be larger, but we were looking for a snack and didn't order appetizers so it was perfect for us.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone stopping by!

Little gem of a spot! Family owned and run and boy does it show. Fresh handmade pastas and amazing service. We showed up without a reservation on Valentine’s Day!! They squeezed us in a half hour later.. only a few tables here so we felt lucky! Definitely will be back and highly recommend !!

As fellow Europeans we were taken completely by surprise. Authentic italian pasta such as this is hard to find outside Italy, none the less in Quebec. The lasagna and the salmon ravioli were incredibly fresh and tasty, to go with a nice glass of italian wine and tiramisu to cap off this amazing experience. The host is also incredibly welcoming with his southern italian charisma. This place alone is enough reason to come to Montebello. A must-go!
