I visited the Montebello Brewing Company's Bankeur spot after a nice dinner at the Fairmont hotel down the way. It's located right on the main drag in town, it has a stage that has (at least according to signs in the bathroom) decent cover bands on the weekend.
The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, not only helping me choose beer that night but giving advice on places to go for breakfast and lunch the next day as well as museums to check out in Ottawa.
