A little piece of France in this small town.
They sell local cheeses and other local products.
French pastry. Very good.
I recommend without hesitation.
Each time we pass through Montmagny we stop there.

Lunch or dinner with a buckwheat pancake and leave with a delicious pastry. Great selection.

The welcome is very friendly and the pancakes are good.
A little corner of Brittany: there is even Kouing amann!

Please note: in Brittany, as in almost all of France, we say “Pain du Chocolat”, not “chocolatine”!

Saturday and Sunday there is no daily menu, only delicious buckwheat pancakes. I chose the fruit crepe with custard. Everything was impeccable, including the service.

Don’t forget the kouign amman (butter cake) to take away; even in France I haven't eaten anything this good.

Merci

Since we discovered this bakery, we made the detour to pick up some good fresh baguettes from 10:30 a.m. Marie-Ève's pastry has fallen. It feels like you're in France in a country bakery. In town the prices are more expensive than at ''L'epi d'or''/''Café Breton'' which serves a very good Breton cake. There is a small room for brunch. You can also have your coffee on the sidewalk in front of the shop.

Parking: If there is no space in front, we have parking right in front of the church, a stone's throw away.

We stopped here for some lunch on the way from New Brunswick to Quebec City. They were very kind and spoke English with us, and made us delicious sandwiches that weren't even on their menu from fresh baguettes because we were looking for something to eat on the road. Great Lattes as well. Thank you!

It was the best chocolate bomb I have ever tasted. The croissants were very fresh and light. It's worth stopping at this little corner of the world.

The best chocolate bomb I've ever tasted. The croissants were still warm, extremely fresh and light. It's worth the effort to stop and explore this little jewel.

What a quaint place in a beautiful little town. The service was impeccable. We were looking for an authentic Kouign Amann and I must say, this comes very very close to the real thing! It's buttery, sweet and slightly dense. The combination is perfect in the sense that one slice doesn't fall you into food coma at all (very easily digestible in comparison to other heavily butter based pastries). If I could make a suggestion, it would be to add a little bit of flaky sea salt on top; the saltiness enhances the flavour imo.
