My wife and I stayed the night here. It was a perfect location to the venue of our event.
We both had the lobster eggs benedict.

I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always been excellent. The resto/bar East in the lobby has a great vibe and good food. Rooms are beautiful and quiet. Location is great and I really love the fact that, unlike a lot of newer hotels, this one has a concierge. I had two special requests and within short order José worked his magic.
I highly recommend the Mtl Renaissance.

No rooms available during my visit but did have several meals and drinks with colleagues. Great downtown location, very convenient to walk everywhere. Restaurant and bar staff very friendly and efficient. Staff were bilingual for the most part. Meals were very good…tasty and well presented. Would recommend to friends.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. I liked the nice bathroom toiletries too.

Highlights:
* good downtown location, close to shopping, underground RÉSO, McGill, Quartier des Spectacles, Mont Royal Parc.
* near public transit for further adventures
* breakfast included for Bonvoy Elite.
* hip décor, a nice change from basic business beige hotels
* friendly staff

Lowlights:
* not a very scenic area
* the breakfast was kind of a mixed bag: some of the dishes tasted good, some were not well done. Coffee was middling to bad.

Rooms: The room was a good size with a really nice chaise longue next to the window. I enjoyed sitting there and reading. There were also USB outlets for appliances. The room was clean and mostly quiet.

We stayed here for one night, beginning of September. Loved the decor throughout & found the hotel to be located in a key area of the city.

The staff, particularly one front desk lady, was fairly helpful & friendly. They called us a cab, & the restaurant was a nice spot for a drink.

We ordered room service - which was average and insanely expensive, but it did come quickly at least.

The room was a good size for downtown & the bed is probably one of the best we’ve slept on in a hotel. Cleaning was decent in our room, with a few details being missed in the bathroom.

Overall 2.5/5
Pros: location is close to everywhere!
Cons: We arrived at 4:40 PM, but the room was not ready. As Marriott Gold members, we were only upgraded to a 'high floor,' which they considered to be the 6th floor. Room service didn’t arrive until 3 PM. The room temperature was not really adjustable and became hot in the afternoon. The room had a musty or moldy smell, and the view was poor.

Our experience here started with our early checkin at 10AM. That was a pleasant surprise. The hotel itself can best be described as moody. From the hallways, restaurant to our room, it was dark. There were very few lights in our room.

The room was relatively spacious with a nice walk in shower. Instead of chairs, there was a bench by the window.

Everyone on the staff was friendly and efficient. And the location was centrally located for tourism.

My stay at the Renaissance Montreal Downtown Hotel was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The hotel’s modern and stylish decor immediately set the tone for a chic and comfortable stay.

The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of downtown Montreal. It was so convenient to explore the city, with Sainte-Catherine Street, the Bell Centre, and the Underground City just steps away. Plus, the proximity to Old Montreal and the Notre-Dame Basilica made sightseeing a breeze.

My room was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the room featured original artwork that added a unique touch. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities, like the flat-screen TV, sleek desk, and the coffee maker for my morning brew. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep despite being in the bustling downtown area.

One of the highlights of my stay was the rooftop terrace. The views of downtown Montreal were stunning, and it was the perfect spot to unwind.

If you’re looking for a stylish and convenient place to stay in Montreal, I highly recommend the Renaissance Montreal Downtown Hotel. It truly made my visit to the city memorable!
