Great place for amazing brunch/breakfast. We came with a friend for a relaxed weekend brunch and ended up spending about four hours I suppose.
Food was great, very well presented and good portions. We went for an Omelette a la Poblana and Vegano. Both came with a fruit plate and a smoothie. Also ordered a coffee (refillable) and a dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing, except the sesame bread which was burnt from the bottom. Service was really great. Omelette a la Poblana absolutely recommended.
Definitely coming back and bringing more friends here.

I went for brunch time.
It was not a so busy day. Right away, I’ve been welcomed by the staff and could dive into a cosy ambiance, checking on the menu.

Service : All the time, the service was good, our waitress was paying attention to the table, servings lots of samples so we could feel cherished. Not too present, just what it needs so we know we are being taken care of.

Menu: the menu is really diverse, and prices are what you expect for a restaurant these days.

Food: the food was ok. That was the main downside for me. My fruits had been cut for a while, and did not look very fresh (my watermelon and mandarin were clearly dehydrated ahah). My friends had fresh fruits though. My dish was mainly sauce based, which was not to my taste. I could not differentiate the ingredients taste, or appreciate the blend. To me it was mainly sauce. I would not recommend the chilaquiles.

All in all I do not think I’ll go back, but my friends are always going there so I guess you’ll have to try :).

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexico in Montreal, Alejandro is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you to a little corner of Mexico.
The food is truly exceptional and captures the essence of Mexican flavors. We started with the tortilla soup, which was a little spicy and great consistency. The chile en nogada was a standout dish—the combination of the stuffed poblano pepper with the creamy nogada sauce was perfectly balanced and incredibly flavorful. For drinks, the coffee was excellent and La Rana smoothie was a refreshing and delicious treat.
The staff is friendly and the service is great, making for an all-around wonderful dining experience. Alejandro is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious, authentic Mexican brunch.

Alejandro absolutely impressed me with its incredible food. Every dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with flavour, and beautifully plated. The complimentary bread and fresh fruit were such a thoughtful touch.

The only downside was that it seemed like the staff were stretched thin, and while they were polite and courteous, the wait time were long. That said, the food more than made up for it, and I’d definitely return.

We had an incredible breakfast at Alejandro in Montreal. This spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for flavourful brunch dishes with a Mexican twist. We tried the Benedicto, chilaquiles, and poblano omelette, and every bite was delicious. The eggs on the Benedict were perfectly poached medium, the sauce was rich and smooth, and the shredded chipotle ham added just the right balance of sweet and spicy.

Before our meals, the staff treated us to a fresh fruit plate, a smoothie shot, and a slice of walnut banana bread. Such thoughtful touches and great value. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for weekend brunch or a casual breakfast in Montreal. If you’re searching for authentic Mexican brunch, Alejandro should be at the top of your list.

I've been here 10x with friends. :) The complementary fruit and smoothies/baked item always makes us feel like royalty. The eggs benedict with pulled pork is amazing. Favorite brunch place in the Plateau-ish area.
