Living in Japan for 10 years, This teriyaki chicken won't transport you to the bustling streets of Tokyo, but for a dependable weekend meal, it hits the mark. The teriyaki sauce, while leaning a bit on the sweet side, offers a pleasant balance of savory notes, making it broadly appealing. You won't find the nuanced depth of more authentic preparations, but it coats the chicken nicely without being overwhelming.
Teriyaki Vegetables: A Mixed Bag
the teriyaki vegetables and while the flavor profile was decent, the execution left something to be desired,
The main issue was the texture of the vegetables. They were unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a soggy consistency that lacked any satisfying bite. It felt as though they had been simmering for too long, losing their vibrant crispness.
With a little more attention to the cooking time, these teriyaki vegetables could be a truly enjoyable dish. As it stands, the good flavor is overshadowed by the disappointing texture.
The shrimp tempura was decent enough, but it didn't quite hit the mark for truly exceptional tempura. While the shrimp itself was fresh and cooked through, the batter lacked that delicate, airy crispness that defines great tempura; it was a little heavier and less ethereal than ideal. This resulted in a slightly oily finish rather than the light, melt-in-your-mouth experience you hope for. It wasn't bad, just not memorable.
We often take out. Tonight I decided to dine with a friend. Prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent.
Very fresh food great choices nice staff
Wow!!! This spot is a little gem in Montreal. 💎
Best sushi I’ve had, and they had wonderful service.
Ordered a mix of maki, sashimi and nigiri and everything was phenomenal and very fresh. Highly recommend the bbq’d eel and anything with salmon skin! I’ve been daydreaming about it for a week now and will be back again soon!
I have tried a lot of sushi places in the city and this is by far the best ! I've never had a bad experience and the food is always 11/10. hands down my favourite sushi place that I always recommend to everyone; even the presentation is beautiful when you dine in
I had a teriyaki salmon ! It was juicy, savory, fantastic! I'll be back soon!

Small, family run restaurant. But God, I wish we have discovered this place years earlier when we moved to Montreal. Food is mindblowing, delicious, perfect portion sizes, amazing products quality. For service: Randolph made our evening very pleasant. Nice overall experience. Give it a try, once you pass by:) See you again!

Really quiet place, the waitresses are always available and smiling. These are the best sushi in Montreal. The food is of good quality. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful. For 72 sushis, we paid $101.15

This is going to be the summary of the three times we went to Atami's house. The first time, there was no room inside the restaurant (it's better to reserve in advance), we went to the terrace. The meal was excellent. The only problem is that we could have warned that the frying was very hot because I burned my tongue a little. The next time, we didn't have a seat inside the restaurant because it was full. On the terrace, it rained so we ordered takeaway. The waiter was told three times that only one person was allergic to seafood. But ultimately, seafood was removed from my menu too... The third time concerned two take-out orders. We made separate orders so as not to have any seafood pick-up for me. The meal was excellent.

Located on the 2nd floor on Cote-des-Neiges, this restaurant, considered one of the pioneers of Suchi in Montreal, has stood the test of time, thanks to its excellent cuisine and the presentation of its dishes. It has a balcony overlooking Cote-des-Neiges, but the interior is due for a good renovation. Overall it's a good restaurant that I recommend.
