I can’t wait for restaurants to open in person dining so that I can have the whole experience again. And by the way the drinks are out of this world as well as the chilli oil!

I want to love this restaurant as their are so few good Thai offerings in my area. The reality is less flattering with Baba Thai.The prices of portions at this restaurant are egregious and most of the dishes are abysmally prepared. Don't get me wrong, they have a few very good dishes here. However, a lot of it is just overly salted, has too much sugar added or is extremely dry ( the meats ).That said, I can't really in good faith recommend the food here as it is, I hope they improve upon their prices and very inconsistent food. I would love to see them become a staple for the area.

This restaurant is a real gem in the Monkland village: not only is the food delicious and carefully prepared (from the conception of the menu to the finishing touches), but the environment that has been created is warm, inviting and fun! Everyone there goes above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one, so if you're looking for a new takeout place (and hopefully in-house dining again soon) in NDG this is it! The pad see ew is always a safe (and tasty) choice, but on't be afraid to try something out of your comfort zone.

ABSOLUTELY DECADENT! Went there for the first time in the summer, had arrived at opening and due to staffing shortages (which we have all been experiencing in the resto industry) the chef took the time to serve us himself and chat about his experience and personal connection to the food. Since then I’ve gotten takeout from them almost weekly, everything on the menu is fantastic and i especially enjoyed the pork belly, pad thai and the thai butter toast is life changing. 10/10

Baba Thai is delicious!!! Super clean, tasty and great service. Highly recommend the crispy rice salad, filet mignon, tofu, spring rolls, egg rolls and pad sew but I’m sure everything on the menu is delicious!

Excellent restaurant and first rate service. My husband and I are very vegetarian and Chef Shawn went out of his way to cook up an excellent, flavourful meal for us. And this on an evening when the restaurant was packed to capacity. We will definitely be back and with friends.
The photos on the website are completely misleading and do not show the place as it exists. We thought we would be dining in a spacious, well appointed room but instead found a bare-bones place with uncovered melamine tables, small paper napkins from a metal dispenser and plastified menus. The food was ordinary, with exception of the spring rolls, which were quite good. The Thai mojitos were made with seven-up, not lemon juice. The only bright spot was the service, which was quite good, considering what the staff had to work with.

The only thing better than the service, was the food. A perfect casual Thai spot in the heart of the Monkland village. Food was amazing and generously portioned. Our waiter and the rest of the staff could not have been nicer. The Tom Yum chicken wings were terrific and so was the Pad Thai. The Thai Butter Toast to finish the evening was delicious.
