Outstanding Greek food, when I was there last the Canadian and Greek Prime Ministers where there. This is a Greek restaurant that the Canadian PM brings the Greek PM to when he is in Montreal. Can't get a better recommedation than that!

We went for my wife's bday and brought the kids (6 & 8), and we had a really nice time. The ambience and food are always great, but the staff we've put of their way to accommodate and even entertain the kids. Great dinner experience for us!

I ordered swordfish, which I really like, but this was THE most tender swordfish I have ever had. The service was fantastic, nand with a rseatuarant that was almost full at 6:30pm - unbelievable - the servers were basically running to keep up. well done.

Salad fresh ingredients & tasty- salmon with vegetables tender & melt in your mouth. Waiter very helpful choosing a white Greek wine - great pairing with the fish. Thank you to the staff.

I was at Balos for lunch with a friend. We had the lunch special - soup and salad with smoked salmon. It was delicious . Service was friendly and attentive. Really a treat for a mid week lunch out!
This was our 3rd visit to Balos. The two previous times, we had been disappointed: overcooked sea bass that had lingered under the stove, crumbs of grilled squid that were bathed in oil with wilted lettuce in a sea of vinaigrette. We decided to give this restaurant one last chance tonight and were greatly impressed! The Greek meal was faultless, everything was tasty and on point. Our server took great care of us and spoke very good French! Overall we had a great evening and we can't wait to come back to Balos!

The ambience is lovely - warm and inviting with dimmed lights, beautiful votives at the tables and music at just the right volume to allow for conversation. Service was friendly and attentive most of the time. Staff were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful when asked for recommendations. I would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in a romantic evening out. If you're a fish and seafood lover, you should definitely give it a try.
