We had a reservation for a birthday celebration, but when we arrived, the staff had no record of it. After a long wait, they placed us in a meeting room—not ideal, but we made the best of it. Unfortunately, service went downhill from there.
The waitress repeatedly forgot about us. Orders took forever to be taken and even longer to arrive. After two hours, everyone got their food except me. I waited another 10 minutes before getting up to ask the waitress about it. She eventually came back to tell me my order hadn’t even been prepared. I canceled it and asked for the bill just for my tea. She apologized and said she wouldn’t charge me, so I left—after over two hours of waiting, with a baby to breastfeed and no food in sight.
That alone would have warranted a one-star review for the disorganized and slow service. But what happened after made it worse: the owner confronted the birthday guest—who had no idea any of this had happened—and gave her a hard time about me. According to my friends, he was incredibly rude, accusatory, and totally unprofessional. I didn’t complain to anyone or speak to him—so his behavior was completely unwarranted.
This place not only fails on basic service, but the owner seems more interested in blaming guests than taking responsibility. Avoid.
Horrible service! Very impolite and rude waitress and manager. Will never go back, despite the good food.
New menu for 2025 is good, we tried the avo-toast and crème brule french toast, really good must try
The avocado toast was super normal, nothing wow about it.
The pancake which comes with dulche de leche was super super sweet! I know you are going for something sweet, but then it’s 1000 times more than highest sweet you ever tried!
Coffee was very normal too!
Nothing special to pay 70$ for these plus an orange juice!
Obviously you pay for influencers fee!
This place has changed so much since I last been and I was informed that it will change more. I went specifically for a plate I had tried and loved 2 years ago but unfortunately it wasn’t available anymore. The other option was also delicious but the salty plate my friend took was merely passable.
The vibe changed a lot from before, no more ranges of cereals on the wall for you to choose from.
I was told the restaurant and menu will be revamped. I’m curious how it will be but I already miss how it used to be :(
The service though was good, any questions were answered to the best of their knowledge, and kept being welcoming and smiling.
I had the pleasure of dining at this resturant, and it was nothing short of incredible! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff, especially our waitress Maryann who made me feel right at home. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with the freshest ingredients. Whether it was the perfectly cooked [Croissant sandwich] or the indulgent dessert, every bite was a delight. If you’re looking for a place that delivers exceptional food, great service, and a memorable experience, look no further. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks again to Maryann
Music was too loud. The restaurant has a huge bar although it is supposed to be a breakfast place. Food was fine, nothing to rave about. Service was okay once the waiter was available. Huge conference room, but I felt observed since I had my back to it and it was full of people.
Parking: Parking is a nightmare. You have to park far or get lucky
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all with the bar. I don't remember a kid menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not really. A section of the restaurant is in the basement, the washroom is too small for a wheelchair, and the conference room has a step.

Honestly, food is amazing and been going to Barleys for awhile already and always recommend to friends and family! However, felt really disappointed today as I ordered because not only the price got higher (which is understandable) but the portion shrunk. The Matcha Pancake we ordered is literally almost half the portion of what it used to :( and my croissant sandwich was half the size of my hand…
Really want to keep coming here but don’t think I’ll be going that much anymore :/ felt a bit sad after leaving the store :(

Really bad experience this afternoon. It all happened a little before 1pm, my friend and I wanted to go sit around a nice little brunch. We go in, we try to find a spot and we ask this lady if we could go to the section near the bar. She said it was closed, so far no problem but she already was giving my friend and I the cold shoulder. So we just sat at a random booth. My friend and I thought it was really dark so we wanted to move. Nothing was on our table yet she didn’t even serve us water yet so there shouldn’t have been any problem. When we simply asked her if she could move us, it seemed like we were asking for the moon! Her face expression dropped and she was just like “… okay.” We then got up with my friend to sit at the place we wanted, but it was not a clean table so we didn’t mind waiting at all. But the server thought we would be sitting at a clean table, so when she saw us walk to the dirty one she started yelling “Non, non, non!” all over the room! Let’s not even talk about how embarrassing that was because everyone was staring at us. And then she goes “Je dois nettoyer d’abord alors laissez moi du temps.” In a really rude, condescending tone. By the
way, as my friend was walking to the dirty table (the one we wanted) I saw that the server gave us a really dirty look. We were nothing but nice to her. I understand that everyone has bad days but as a server in a restaurant where we would be expected to tip her, her attitude was nothing but rude, impolite and condescending. The girl was a brunette, she had her hair up, a long sleeve black top and green pants. We will not be coming here again if that’s what your customer service has to offer.

Beautiful plates, but the flavors were disappointing compared to the price charged.
food was good but the ambiance not so much- loud music & not great service. Took a bit too long to place the order, and never checked in to see if we needed anything else.

The service could improve, there is a long wait to get your food and the music is really loud. I personally didn’t like their Avocado Toast with the Mint and Pomegranate Molasses but it could be personal taste. Pancake Maison was great and the Latte as well.
