Bebabel Restaurant

The worst place possible, firstly we couldn’t find because they changed their name, like change your name then. Secondly, they were holding a private event, then why does it say on google maps that it is open. This is so unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend it at all

Very disappointing experience. We drove 3 hours from Gatineau just to try this place, only to be met with multiple surprises that were nowhere mentioned on Google Maps.

First, the restaurant didn’t even have the name “bebabel” on the building, so we weren’t sure if we were at the right place. Then we were told that the kitchen doesn’t open until 5 PM, which was never mentioned online. We had a hungry family with us, including a 2-year-old, and to make things worse, they told us children and babies are not allowed — again, not written anywhere.

After such a long drive, this was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. If you’re going to run a restaurant, be clear and honest on your listings. We would’ve never made the trip if we had known these things.

Had the Kafta platter. Everything was good and price reasonable. They have plenty more options I would be willing to try.

I went past 6 and the place was pretty empty. People probably go later or during weekends so ambiance would be different.

The interior decoration and overall mood is very modern yet warm.

This is a great spot for authentic Lebanese food. The sitting area is great and beautiful. They offer a great variety of different Arabic mezze dishes and mains. We tried the fattoush, bebabel salad, hummus, mtabbal, cheese rolls, kibbeh, stuffed grape leaves and the mixed grill platter. It did not disappoint. The grill platter was the highlight-very fresh, tender and juicy meats. We were also offered complimentary desserts. Overall, amazing dinner experience!

A racist restaurant. We made reservations with them on call, and when we went there the person said ‘oh the restaurant is next door’. We thought they have separate restaurant, but we realized he pointed us to another Indian restaurant. It was absurd to be this racist for them. Please mention on your website ‘Lebanese Only’!

Edit (Reply): Your worker saw us and assumed we were there for Indian restaurant? When we first came in we asked where to sit and he pointed us next door. Also when we came back, we came to make sure we didn’t miss anything or weren’t misunderstanding. After the first treatment we were not gonna come anyways.
