Beijing Restaurant

Tried their General Tao Chicken unfortunately, the chicken was too breaded and overly sweet. Tea was good. Service was disappointing; our server seemed unprofessional and showed partiality. On the other hand, the cashier was polite and thanked everyone, showing what good customer service should look like. Definitely room for improvement in both food and service.

The service was disappointing. Our waiter, a middle-aged man, came off as dismissive and cold, despite his polite tone. It was hard to ignore the noticeably warmer treatment given to other customers, especially those who were Chinese or white. The contrast made our experience uncomfortable.

This is the perfect place to enjoy rude service, and unwelcoming servers. We ordered the same dish twice, and it was made completely different. The server has the audacity to put in a 20% tip in the bill after he didn't check in on us once, and being insolent. Many people visit here because it's often the only place open late night, but I would highly recommend McD or any other option literally than this.

The service is terrible, the waiter was really rude and seemed in a bad mood every time he spoke to us. I didn't like the food. Overall, I am disappointed with my experience.

This used to be my favourite restaurant. The food is still amazing, and most of the staff are polite on the phone. However, lately, my orders have been consistently wrong, especially when handled by a certain person—who I believe might be the owner. I’ve been coming here for years, and the team was always friendly and attentive, but it seems the service isn’t quite what it used to be. Whether the owners changed or the staff was altered, this restaurant has changed for the worse and I hope they see this and revert it to the way it was. It’s a shame to see this shift in a restaurant I loved so much.

I really enjoyed my time here with my partner. We always walk by the place and decided it was finally time to give it a try. The staff there are very friendly. The food was nice. I really enjoyed the jumbo steamed oysters and the shrimp/pork wonton soup. I would recommend this place if you're looking for an affordable option for Asian food. 8/10

I loved this place, but on my last visit I ordered a wonton as a starter with mapo tofu and both were disappointing.

The wonton had flavorless broth and few wontons

The mapo tofu did not contain Sichuan pepper, it was very uninteresting and inauthentic

The Singapore noodles on the other hand were adequate, with a good level of spice

Their portions are generous

The lobster was excellent - fresh, cut apart and easy to eat, and a bargain at CAD 34. Crispy chow mein also good. Service at lunch was fine.

I ordered spicy dumplings in peanut sauce and paulet general Tao.
The dumplings were not edible. The paulet was tasteless, excesively fried and dry, all bathed in a bad sour-sweet sauce.
The restrooms were dirty.
The price, including two TsingTao beers and without tip was 48 cad.
Run away if you can.
Much better options in the área.
