Wonderful evening. Cozy restaurant,fun waiters who were knowledgeable and attentive. Perfectly cooked vegetables came with our dinners which were delicious. Highly recommend.

Lovely cozy restaurant right near the Four Seasons. Quiet, good selection of Italian food. We enjoyed the crispy zucchini appetizer and two selections of risotto. Service is professional. We will come back next time we are in Montreal.

I can't think of anything negative to say. It's smallish, but that just lends to the intimate ambience. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Attentive, but not intrusive. The food was superb. I had veal Piccata, which I have had all over the world - Florence, Rome, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and I've never had better (equal, maybe, but not better). The price was reasonable, given the quality of the presentation. I give it my highest recommendation. The only drawback was the parking, but that's Montreal, these days. It was within a short walk from our hotel, which made it all the better.

Fantastic food and great service. It was the first restaurant we had been to over the last few days (visiting from overseas) where the background music was at a level you could hear it but not too loud so you were able to chat with your fellow guests and hear each other! Recommend highly.

Food was excellent and our server was exceptionally helpful. My wife said the risotto she had was the best she ever had. House Chianti was very good. Ambience was good although there was a large group in front somewhat noisy. Manager came by and checked on how we like everything.

We were greeted warmly by the entrance staff and shown to a very nice table. Our food and wine were of a very good standard and tasty. Sadly as the evening moved in we had less and less attentive service as the restaurant became busy.

Room was a little tired, drapery falling off the rod. The stuffed flower appetizer was heavy with breading and lacked flavor and stuffing. In contrast, the calamari was light and delicious and both the veal and the pasta dish with guanciala was delicious. We asked for a wine recommendation and our server gave us a perfect selection. Our server was pleasant and professional. Overall we had a pleasant evening with pleasant service/ The room just needs some updating.

Great choice, didn’t realise it was also favoured by musicians/celebs from time to time not that that mattered as the food, drinks and service were very much worth our visit. A very enjoyable experience with great comms and attention from the friendly staff. Probably towards the higher end on cost but I’d say that’s justified for the overall experience. We booked at about an hours notice which was probably ok for a Wednesday evening. I could see all tables taken most of the evening.

My bride and I were visiting Montreal and had the most amazing dining experience at BIS Restaurant.
The staff would have made a bad food experience excellent all by itself…..but what they did was make excellent food even better.
Paloma served us and was truly a pleasure to talk to. Her recommendations were spot on, her attentiveness was spot on and she was just overall amazing. Many of the staffed also stopped by our table to make sure all was well.
The food was fantastic Italian. ( as a former New Yorker I’d like to think I know good Italian food) Serving portions were perfect! The food came at a great pace and the temperature and quality were pure perfection.
The atmosphere is exactly what you want. Not a huge place , very cozy yet not crowded, welcoming, comfortable, and nothing was rushed at any point.
As i regularly visit Montreal on business, and have many friends there, this place will be my go to from here on out.
Rocket salad served in a Parmesan bowl was a treat Veal saltimbocca with pasta was excellent Lemon cake and Abogatta was amazing!
My gut tells me that the whole menu is great, and I intend to find out!

We were three Shriners and our wives who were visiting Montreal to see our Shriners Canadian Children's Hospital in Montreal. We wanted a really nice Italian restaurant to enjoy our last evening in Montreal. I researched Bis Ristorante and read their reviews. We were definitely not disappointed. Donavan looked after us with premier service. The food was excellent and our dishes ranged from Gnocchi, Linguine Vongole, Brazino and Filet Mignon. The ambience in the restaurant is excellent and reminded me of my travels to Italy. Overall a 5 star experience and highly recommend!
