Amerigo on Monkland is a true neighborhood gem. The vibe felt straight out of New York—busy and lively, but still easy to chat. The ossobuco with saffron risotto was outstanding and instantly brought me back to Italy, while the tiramisu was the perfect finish. Great wine list with fair prices (loved the Aglianico!), and the service was excellent. They don’t take reservations, but the wait was short and the stroll around the area made it even better. Can’t wait to go back...

The food is good but I was very disappointed with my recent visit. The waitress who served me was unprofessional and had an unpleasant attitude toward me for no apparent reason. From the moment I arrived, her tone and demeanor were unnecessarily rude, making the experience uncomfortable. Good customer service is the heart of any restaurant, but this interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I hope management addresses this so future guests are treated with the respect they...
