An excellent place for a date night or celebratory dinner out. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. We've brought many of our visiting friends here and they've all loved it.

Excellent visit last night, we had heard good words from the Tartars and they were excellent. With 8 people, I admit that all the other meals ordered at the table were tempting. Very pleasant service and well-recommended daily schedule. I will definitely return. Around $50 cocktail and meal, will be around $100 per person if you add a starter and tip.

It's changed a lot as a restaurant since 2022. The restaurant has become boring, the wine list has completely changed, you might as well drink Mutton cadet and eat a frozen meal. The new manager is stupid, all the magic is gone.

We came for brunch yesterday after a movie at the Beaubien cinema. We chose to sit at the bar to better immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the place. The service was super efficient despite the lack of manpower. What a joy to see staff who know what they are doing! Average age around twenty years old with great maturity, worthy of more experienced staff, and all in silence. In fact, it’s one of the rare places where you can hear yourself talking in Montreal. The results on the plates and on the taste buds were there. We can't wait to come back and discover the evening service! Thank you for everything!
Extremely salty meal, we did not eat the plate and ate our son's pasta instead… Dessert was still offered to us but apart from that the service is average, the waitress spilled some water on the chair while I was in the toilet without picking it up, always had to call them to order etc. The toilets were dirty and we were at a table wedged between the corridor and the bar, the waiters kept grabbing at us as we passed. In short, the value for money is not there at all. The wine list is not very elaborate either. I will never go back there again.

I had often heard about Bistro Chez Roger but this was my first visit. The waiter really gave good advice to my friend who chose the wine. I was delighted with my fish & chips and she really enjoyed her beef steak. Although it was a little noisy (Friday evening of course! It was full!), we felt welcome and we would not hesitate to recommend the place or to return... after or before an outing to Beaubien Cinema.
