There was a birthday party with over 60 guests at the restaurant. It was extremely loud, and the terrace had an unpleasant smell.

Food was great. Had to wait a bit for the food to come out and there was a dj playing and it was a kinda hard to hear everyone talk that's the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars

Hello. Your restaurant is very beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Please note that the young lady on duty on August 23 at 9:30 am requires some training in hospitality, as her service comes across a bit rough.
Message for her: Keep your spirits up, smile, interact, and offer the products. Anyone can provide service, but hospitality requires a positive personal attitude.

I recently dined at your restaurant while staying at the Home Town Suites in Montreal. I wasn’t visiting for Formula One or any major event—I simply needed a break. As a small business from the US, life has been hectic and heavy, especially in the current social and political climate in the U.S., and I hadn’t taken a real break in over a year and a half. For an $80 meal & cheap wine poor this was a complete waste of my time & money. Never compensated, messaged the restaurant, no response, nada! Plenty of other wonderful restaurants in Montreal that treat customers nicely & with respect! I’ve spent much of my life in the restaurant industry—working with chefs, managing, and co-owning a family restaurant. These days I run a small successful businesses. I have always valued the effort that goes into hospitality and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests. Unfortunately, my experience at your restaurant was disappointing on several levels, and I wanted to take a moment to share that with you—not out of anger, but in the hope that feedback from someone who knows and cares about this industry might be helpful. I arrived alone after a long and tiring drive. As a single, professional, middle-aged woman, I was looking forward to a good meal and maybe a little friendly human connection. Your restaurant wasn’t busy—just a few tables, and several staff on the floor. I sat at the bar but was largely ignored. The staff were chatting with each other and didn’t make much effort to engage me or check in throughout the meal. I understand not everyone feels like talking, but basic friendliness and hospitality go a long way—especially when someone is traveling alone. What struck me most was the general disinterest and lack of warmth from the team. It wasn’t hostile, but it was indifferent, and that in itself leaves a bad taste. As for the meal: • The water came in a small glass, no ice. I had to ask for second glass. • The wine pour (a Pinot Grigio) was minimal and served in a small glass. It felt stingy, frankly. • The salad was average. • The pasta was bland—more like a floury filler than a dish with care or seasoning. The sauce had no salt, no depth, no flavor. • The chicken parmigiana was the one redeeming element, but it was only lukewarm when served. • The music was loud, bass-heavy, and more fitting for a club than a dinner setting. I asked for it to be turned down, which they eventually did, but it had already made the atmosphere stressful. Most frustrating of all, no one asked how the food was. No check-ins, no offer for a second drink, no warmth. I had to ask for more water. One of the servers (I won’t name him) finally engaged, but even then, the conversation felt performative and dismissive, not authentic or attentive. In my experience—both as a guest and a former restaurant owner—this isn’t just about food. People come to restaurants for comfort, connection, and a break from their lives. You never know what someone’s going through. For me, this trip was about self-care, after personal and professional burnout, grief, and long-term stress. I wanted just one really good, kind, nourishing experience. This was not it. I’ve visited Montreal many times and often stay at Hiltons—I’m a loyal member. I let the hotel know about my experience as well. I don’t want anyone fired, but I do believe your staff needs a reminder of the importance of hospitality, especially in times like these. A little kindness, a smile, a genuine moment—these things matter. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to your restaurant. But I truly hope others can have a better experience, and that you take this message to heart. In a world where you can be anything, please choose to be kind—to customers, and to each other.
Overpriced and tiny portions for the amount they charge.
