Boswell is a solid brewpub. The food was standard, the fries were delicious. Served was animated, friendly, and efficient. The only comment I have is that the music was a bit too loud. There were times when I couldn't hear the people at my table due to the music being too distracting.

Good craft brewery. Several choices of beers on tap. The Bloody Boswell cocktail is the best I have tasted. It is well balanced between alcohol and clamato. I loved the chicken liver mousse. Super creamy and flavorful. Plus, good quantity.

We were there as a group for a birthday and couldn't have asked for better: good beer, diverse menu and generous portions at an affordable price, excellent waiter, welcoming for children, music not too loud which allows you to have conversations without having to shout and communication for our reservation was very easy. Why do I rate it 2 stars.It's been a while, even a few years, since I've been to Boswell..everything is good in general. but the *** invasion of small fruit flies is massive. really tiring around. I received my black beer with a fly in it, the flies are circling around us, there are also a lot of them in the women's toilets. It’s a nice place to go. For real, the mass of little fruit flies has expanded

Great gastropub. Skip the tourist areas and go here to get a real glimpse of the foodie scene. My party ordered a lot on the menu and shared bites. The salmon tartare was phenomenal, the bread and dip while sounds simple was layered with flavors. The bartender recommended a beer I wouldn't normally order, and it was great. I would consider this a must when visiting Montreal.
