We recently stopped in on a visit from NYC and honestly I can say it was by far the best pizza I've ever had (sorry NYC)! The quality of the ingredients, the service, and the wine! Just simply amazing! I'll definitely come to Bottega next time I'm in Montreal!

It's a bit loud, but the food is good. Pizza dough is a bit salty. I felt bad because our waitress coming to take our payment had an open pant zipper. It wasn't just open but busting open. I know the food is filling, but I think it would be wise to enforce a dress code that emulated that class and style of the food and drink. I'm just saying.
Exceptional pizza... crispy, light, tasty, warm,... If you pass through Montreal, Bottega is an obvious must... the pizza is a cloud of happiness! (Ah yes, and then the homemade fried squid..... without hesitation!!!)

Food: Tiramisu was the highlight of the night. Pizza was good, toppings were nice but bread lacked taste. Considering the price you pay, you would expect more. We went because of the wood fired oven. Foccacia was disappointing, it was cold, very dry, hard and ultra thin. Thoughtful preparation of food was lacking. You would expect bread to be fresh, soft and tasty even if it is thin. Buttega is shame for the Italian heritage so to speak.
Service: Waitress was pleasant and quick. The staff and what looked like the manager -the guy without the apron- were busy chatting and judging customers instead of serving them. The manager rolling his eyes into his socket says he knows squat about service. He can learn from the lady perhaps. Also, he was very proud because he felt like he was manufacturing high tech rockets to send them in space?
Atmosphere: Looked clean. Tables were too close, not much space to walk. A very noisy fish market vibe.
Overall, a mediocre restaurant with terrible service. Do not recommend.
