Offer available every day on croissant and baguette freshly baked
Simply delicious 😋
You might be fooled walking into Ange Bakery ... clean counters, shiny branding, the warm whiff of baked goods carefully engineered for Instagram. It looks like a neighborhood café, but don’t be mistaken: this isn’t some quaint mom-and-pop boulangerie. Ange is a chain, a sleek cog in a much bigger machine.
We stopped in for a quick lunch (sandwiches and dessert). I ordered the pan bagnat, a Nice-style tuna number I’ve had a thousand times in southern France. Salty, oily, honest.
But this version came with a surprise. Mid-bite, I hit something soft, elastic. I pulled it out, and there it was: a used finger BAND-AID.
Straight from someone else’s hand into my mouth.Let that sink in: a BAND-AID. In. My. Sandwich.
To the manager’s credit, she didn’t flinch. Apologized immediately, reimbursed the entire meal, and told us the food is made off-site in a central kitchen. She assured us she’d raise hell with the supplier. She owned it and I respect that. But even with that responsibility taken, there’s no coming back from this.
This wasn’t some back-alley food stall in Bangkok where you expect the unexpected. This was a corporate operation, a system that’s supposed to run with standards and controls. That’s what makes it worse. This didn’t just slip through the cracks. The cracks are the system.
Nothing has ever turned my stomach like this. Ange Bakery? Never again. Industrial food at its most careless.
Solid sandwich / pastry spot with a good selection. Service was quick and friendly.
Very disappointed. I bought a brioche bread that was raw on the inside and completely inedible, but the staff insisted that it was supposed to be that way. They didn’t apologize, offer a replacement, or give me a refund. I live nearby and regularly buy bread there, but this was the worst service in the area.
Visited this bakery early in the morning and grabbed some delicious and fresh items: almond croissants, pain au chocolat, apple turnovers, and the little puff pastries. All very good and freshly baked.
A good bakery but the evening staff are very insolent.

Overprice, $10 to $12 for a sandwich that tastes like oldies sometimes.
Expensive and small but quite good pastries

Boulangerie Ange is a huge franchise network from the south-east of France which arrived in Quebec with the intention of opening 60 bakeries.
The ambitions should be reviewed because this branch gives the brand a very bad reputation. I've been going there since they opened, it was very good at first, variety, cleanliness, service.
As many have commented, the service leaves something to be desired, and we remain polite. The franchisee should become more involved in his branch because things slide quickly. Disinterested, conventional and hostile service.
Nice variety, stick to the pastries, they are excellent, even if they shrink every year.
Avoid coffee, automatic machine, it is too bitter for the price charged.
Very nice dining room on site, it is also a good option for lunch if you have an event at the Palais des congrès right next door.
Average, but big potential for improvement if they find nicer staff.
P.S.: please leave a 👍 if this review was useful to you in making your choice, thank you 🙏
Parking: No parking possible in this corner of the city. The city of Montreal is waging war on motorists.

The quality has dropped terribly and the size of the pastries is reduced to its maximum, a few months ago we had large pastries and overnight, no more paying the full price for pastries that are RIDICULOUS in size and with less taste Good.
I don't know what happened but I'm never going back there again.
I strongly advise against it.

It’s a nice place with lots of choices of sandwiches, pastries, desserts. The sandwiches are good and the chocolate tart is delicious. Unfortunately, the service disappointed me. I would have liked to have been presented with the options depending on the meal plan chosen. The waiter was not cooperative, he showed little interest in serving us. He did not tell us what was included in the trio. He didn't ask if I was eating there. He packed my dessert in the same box as my colleague's without first checking if it suited us. He didn't thank us or greet us. It was frankly disappointing.

Pain au chocolat too big for what it is. Some baguettes were almost not cooked and others were soft and unpleasant to eat.

Food - very pricy compared to low quality - I ordered 2 paninis , the were both cold although I asked them to be heated up , the sandwich was basically empty , mostly bread , minimal amount of cheese and meat. Why would I pay 10$ for just bread , not to mention the bread wasn’t fresh either
Service and atmosphere- very dirty and badly Maintained; half of the tables were not ready to be used since they were dirty
Would not recommend this place !
