First time at Le Marquis for breakfast beign a GF and Lactose free client.
Always looking for my food restriction options restos in Montréal and finding this amazing place, where I can get everything my little heart desires.
Yummy, yummy fresh crêpes and an amazing variety of cakes .
Coffee should be included since we had to get it next door and come back to have a great breakfast.
Other than that hands up!!!! We'll be back!!!!!
I love this place!! The gluten free!! The amazing ness!!! I go back every time I'm in monteral JUST to get the Passioned fruit white chocolate mouse cake thingy. It's one of the best desserts iv ever had. This place is tied for the best gluten free place in Canada, the only other place is the lemon tree in Vancouver to hold a chandle to it.
This was my first time at this bakery, but as someone who has been stuck eating gluten-free for over 15 years and used to love making pastry, it was amazing. I had a chocolatine and a croissant sandwich. Both were flaky and buttery and had great texture. Even my gluten-eating family had a couple of bites and agreed it was very good. Looking forward to heating my frozen semi-baked croissants that they also sell!
I ordered a chocolate hazelnut mousse cake (Gâteau mousse au Chocolat-Noisettes), for a special family occasion. It was enjoyed by all, not only out GF/dairy-free family members. Desserts from Le Marquis are quickly becoming a new family favorite. Thank you for the excellent dessert, which I seamlessly ordered on their website and picked up the next day. One of the best cakes I've ever had!

My celiac friend was totally jazzed about the chocolate croissant. I usually get normal croissants so I don’t know how to compare a gf one, but according to her this one is great

A gluten free dream. Great breads, croissants, even some vegan desserts too. Highly recommend.
I bought a lemon tartlet and a chocolate-hazelnut tartlet.
Really disappointed. There's not even an inch of lemon filling, it's just too thick pie crust.
At $8 a tartlet, we expect better.

The chef was very very friendly and nice. :) Made the whole experience worth it.
Gluten free oriented cuisine is rare and they succeed the crepes batter so much that I couldn't see the difference. ?

Word of warning for those ordering cakes for special events:
Another very disappointing experience at Le Marquis. Although their baked goods are fantastic, this is the second time I’ve showed up to pick up a cake (for a special event might I add) and they don’t have it available with no justification given. The order was placed several days ago and paid for, the complete lack of professionalism to not even warn me that they cannot prepare the order until I’ve driven 30 minutes the day & showed up to pick it up. They refunded the cake but now I’m stuck scrambling to find a gluten free cake the day of the event…absolutely ridiculous. The fact that a similar thing took place last year…it’s all very disappointing, but unfortunately my favorite gluten free bakery is temporarily closed so we had no choice but to come back here. If the service and professionalism was anywhere near the quality of the food, it would be spectacular. Until then, I would not trust them for cakes for important events.

Wider selection of gluten free backed goods than I've seen elsewhere. Delicious croissants and deserts hold up to comparison with their gluten counterparts. The maple éclair was amazing.

Best gluten-free pastries I’ve ever had! Actually, among the best pastries I’ve ever had even outside of being GF. I had the chocolate almond croissant a few months back and bought some frozen ones to bring home, too. I just reheated one after several months of being in the freezer and it was still amazing!
Interior of the shop could be nicer but there is a lovely sitting area outside when the weather allows!

This location has the largest selection, go early for breakfast pastries or order in advance with 24 hour notice, note that some pastries are not available on Mondays. Loved the vanilla eclair and croissant although would have liked the croissant to be toasted. Helpful and sweet staff!

Absolutely amazing gluten free crepes and pastries, fresh and tasty, in a certified GF facility. A must for anyone with gluten sensitivity - I wish we had more places like this in the US.
