The chocolate Ă©clair 5/5 was rich but not overly sweet. The apple chausson is also 5/5ïŒhad incredibly flaky pastry with a very fresh, light apple filling. Everything tasted balanced and well made. Definitely a 5/5 bakery for me â one of those places I still crave after the trip.

Popular local bakery with great croissants and French pastries.
Sunday morning chaos, but worth the 10-minute stool hunt. This location is in one of the busiest neighborhoods in the city, so there were a lot of locals, but theyâre known to only use local Quebec flours and slow fermentation. We grabbed the pain suisse, chausson aux pommes, chausson dejeuner, and the almond croissant, and most of them were great.
Super crunchy layers on the almond croissant without collapsing it flat. Slightly overbaked, which gave that cookie-like crunch with just enough caramelization without bitterness. The almond mousse inside balanced it out perfectly.
The apple turnover (chausson aux pommes) was also excellent. More like a cold apple pie filling (light, not very tart-y) than a turnover, and the flaky & butter outer layer was impeccable. Only thing I didnât quite enjoy was the Chausson Dejeuner. Essentially a ham and cheese croissant, but the outer layer was way too dense and thick. Didnât quite get much ham and cheese in each bite, lost in all that dough. Still, a fantastic neighborhood spot doing serious baking.

I ordered the pistachio Ă©clair and an iced latte here, and honestly, I was a little disappointed. The Ă©clair had a very generous and dense filling, but for me the texture was a bit too heavy and compact â I was hoping for something lighter, smoother, and more delicate. The pistachio cream on top also tasted mostly sweet, without much of the nutty pistachio aroma coming through. There was also a slight âjust taken out of the fridgeâ feeling to it that made it taste less fresh than expected.
I also bought one of their toasts to try later, so I canât comment on the taste yet. But visually it looked promising: the crumb structure was beautiful, and the inside looked moist and springy, which usually suggests a well-made loaf.

I used to get this turkey cranberry sandwich on a weekly basis for years when I lived in Montreal, and itâs got to be in my top 5 sandwiches. Great fresh crusty baguette, healthy amount of aioli, and the carmelized onion cranberry jam are what make it stand out, because the turkey and Brie are just normal sandwich things, but this one is addicting. Itâs a masterpiece but so simple and I will die on that hill. Also great pastries, but the sandwich is a hidden gem. Not easily wheelchair accessible since there are a few steps
This bakery was lovely, the staff were so helpful and accommodating, the food was delicious and the matcha was good!! I was visiting Montreal and stopped in on my way home first a road snack. Iâm gluten intolerant and they helped me find the right person to talk to so we could make sure my dietary needs were met. At first it seemed like there wasnât anything they carried I could eat so I decided to get a matcha. Iâm picky about matcha and this one was very good! Just as I got my drink the person I was speaking to found me and brought me macaroons! They are 100% gluten free and they were so yummy! Satisfying to bite into, the coconut is perfectly chewable, not dry. I highly recommend checking them out!
My favourite cafe/boulangerie in the area
Incredible bakery with solid coffee! Iâve never been disappointed by any of their baked goods and they are always cycling in new items.
Their seating area is usually busy, but they are located close to La Fontaine (a beautiful park). I would strongly recommend enjoying your pastry and coffee at the park.

Visited yesterday, asked for 2 items and only got 1 of them. A bunch of young kids work there who cannot do a single task, if you cannot remember 2 items, you shouldnât work on the customer side.
Proper bakery. Excellent espresso

Super busy local Boulangerie. The savoury pastries are amazingly buttery and flaky. My favourite is the egg and mushroom or the spinach and feta pastry. The ham and cheese croissant is really good too, they use swiss cheese. Be sure to go early! I came at 10:30 am and they were out of the egg and mushroom already.
