The staff's service quality is not the best as they are not the most patient & welcoming. However, my latest visit today took the issue to a whole new level. I encountered significant difficulty in communicating my order. Despite my repeated attempts to clarify that I wanted two cheese, two plain, and two almond croissants, the staff member consistently misunderstood my request, leading to frustration. Furthermore, to add to my disappointment, I ordered a cake and found that the box was not properly wrapped. I value the quality of their products, but this recent visit has left a negative impression and made me reconsider my decision of visiting place ever again.

Food is stellar!! Ambiance is great! Service is somewhat lacking as there were only 3 people working at the 2 counters. Had to wait 5 minutes to be served at the coffee counter! Please hire more people, it's a demanding job and the atmosphere would increase ten fold!!Handicap door was repaired and the AC in the store was well appreciated!

Marie P.

Skip. Head to a grocery store called Metro. Head to the pastry section and buy a box of 4 pastries. Will taste the same at a fraction of the cost. I used to like this place, before Metro bought them out. Now, they taste like supermarket grade pastries. Which I guess makes sense since you can buy the same thing at their grocery stores now. I ordered an apple pastry and a double espresso. The espresso is weak tasting, very weak. Almost as if they used a regular blend instead. The pastry? Lackluster. Even the apple compote inside is nowhere as good as the apple jelly made by St. Dalfour. Even the flakiness of the actual pastry is nothing extraordinary, almost as if they used premade pastry sheets. See you Premiere Moisson. P.s, the reason why people say this is the best pastry shop is that those are the old reviews. There was a very noticeable change once they were sold to a giant conglomerate a few years back and sadly, the quality of products went way downhill. Except the price. That went uphill….wayyyyy uphill.

Food quality is always top notch. But customer service needs attention... I pass by here everyday to go to work. Sometimes I feel like stop by and pick up some pastry for coworker or family. Their attitude and tone is so rough... Always in a rush, not smiling. I understand it's a very busy location. But same when there was no one behind me. And gave me 3 Looney in change probably expecting me to tip her. Sorry, the service not worth it

One of the reason I live in Montreal is to eat their cheese cake. :) Montreal's Best. Ordering for special occasions has the best results.

Buying a $5 almond croissant to go and being forced to pay 30% in-front of the cashier while he/she is staring at you is not a good feeling at all, hate it.

I read some contributors here say this is the best bakery in Montreal. Wow... really? This is the best?

Stale pastries not removed!Purchased a pain au raison.Totally stale. When I let the unfriendly manager know that the $4 pastry was stale, he could not even apologize, and worse, he would not remove the remaining 2 stale ones on display. One could be forgiven for stale pastries, but not for selling them when you know they are stale. This is dishonest.

The strawberry cheesecake tasted good and was wrapped nicely.

Review of central station Première Moisson downtown location Première Moisson offers some good quality baked goods. But they charge a premium for quite a bit of mediocre fare. Case in point: I bought a chocolate butter bûche on 12.22.22. It cost 40$. I could not eat a bite. I had to spit it out onto a napkin and throw the rest away. It was beyond stale. Had it been fresh, it still would have been very bland. The bûche certainly looked great but I would take a nutella sandwich any day over Première Moisson's overpriced bûche. Shame on staff for selling stale food. I will never buy from this location again and I will be very very discriminating about what I do buy.

Worst cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. Appears to be a premium outlet with quality baked goods.Expensive but mediocre quality. the roll was dry and chewy. If you have 15-20 mins in hand, head to Boulangerie Au Pain Doré which is 8 mins walk away from central Station.
