Brasserie 701

Excellent restaurant nous étions allés pour souper et avions adorés. Cependant avons été déçu du brunch. Nos café latter sont arrivés froids. Le bénédictine au canard n'avait presque pas de canard.... La toast au champignons était délicieuse.

Met up with friends for dinner. Wonderful location, intimate ambiance. Our service team was amazing and attentive. The food portions were great and we enjoyed everything we ordered especially the Niçoise salad and the artichoke appetizers. The onion soup was delicious and so were the steak and fries although they were warm and not hot when we received them. Overall it was a wonderful experience and although I wish the mains would be served hot, I would definitely recommend.

The hostess was accommodating as we could only reserve a high top at the time of reservation. However, when a reservation was a no show for a low table, she offered to move us, which we accepted. The Crab and Avocado Mousseline, and the Scallops with Mignonette were great! My wife and I ordered the Duck Breast a l'orange. The only thing a l' Orange about it was the color of the carrot puree. The skin was crispy ,the fat was rendered nicely, and the temp was medium rare. However, the breast lacked salt and there was not a hint of orange. The carrot puree either over powered the orange, or it was omitted. My son ordered the Steak and Frits. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and salted nicely, but the steak lacked salt. We asked for salt and were give an empty salt shaker. (I am not sure if that was intentional or a mistake). My daughter ordered the Mushroom Gnochi with the added Chicken Supreme. Both of these items were delicious and seasoned appropriately. I must add that we consider ourselves “foodies” with discerning palates. We all tasted each others meals and concluded unanimously at the above critiques.

Great food selection and good wine. We enjoyed a great quiet dinner. Our server ( I apologize for not including her name) was excellent and knowledgeable.

Staying at Hotel Place d'Armes for a week, so checked out this French restaurant in the hotel. The meal—from cocktails to appetizers to main course and dessert—was excellent. Service was exemplary; attentive while making space for us to enjoy the meal. A great choice whether or not you are staying at the hotel.

Mathilde was a fantastic server and really made our night amazing! We will be coming back the next time we are in Montreal!

I always go there for brunch for the excellent service and mostly because you actually can hear yourself talk ! The food is great too !

Cute and fierce! Loved our waitress. She even gave us recommendations of the best bars to go to after dinner!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner outdoors on the terrace. Gavin was most friendly and pleasant. Great food. Great ambiance.

Beautiful place for a nice meal. The duck and steak frites were delicious along with the desserts.

We had a table outside and everything was very good, food was perfect and Mathilda, our server took very good care of us, which we're celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Excellent cheese plate, sea bass and cheeseburger with super fries. Very attentive service and a thorough wine list. I highly recommend Brasserie 701.

We booked a patio table for breakfast but they were short staffed so we had to eat indoors. The food overall was not worth the price. Even the drinks seemed poorly (inaccurately) put together. The toast was cold and looked like store bought bread. The continental breakfast had only one cheese option instead of ‘cheeses'. The eggs weren't cooked to our requests (medium) We enjoyed things so much last year that we wanted to return but this will be our last visit given the meager quantity and quality. Very disappointing for a $200 breakfast

J'ai aimé mon expérience j'ai bien aimé la bouffe mais les prix un peu élevés et il manque un peu d'ambiance la musique jazz back ground juste un peu de volume ça serais parfait la place est idéal le stuff très gentil poli wow juste pour prendre un verre ou manger avec un ambiance jazzy Will perfect belive me 😁👍🏽
