It is absolutely delicious and super spicy just like i like it. If you don't like spicy or like it just a little spicy there's 4 spice levels.

I would not recommend this place for a buffet. The food was bland, stale, and of very poor quality. Unfortunately, it feels like a waste of money, so I’d suggest avoiding it.

Request to never visit the place, service is extremely bad and food is very oily.

They served stale and tasteless food.
Mix veg - stale and smelly
Egg curry - completly tasteless
Baigan bharta - tasteless
Dessert (halwa) - unbeatable
Services - extremely

There are much better indian restaurants in Montreal, do not visit this place and waste the money.

The owner is careless and the employees has attitude another level and very bad service

MY PERSONAL REQUEST TO NOT GO HERE

I was looking forward to AYCE buffet. When I arrived I got a card to order from. I changed my mind because there was an absence of fresh curry smell and things were being re-heated up. I ordered beef curry thali, which was not AYCE. I didn't find the curry to have flavours that I am used to. I would say bland is a fair description. The naan was dripping of ghee. The vegetable curry was mild and the rice was plentiful. I travelled out of an area with many restaurants and took a cab home. I was very disappointed because I expected a buffet that I could choose items from. Never going there again.

This place was amazing! We love Indian food but this establishment was entirely different experience. We ordered the mes buffet style to sample everything and we were not disappointed. Each dish was perfect temperature, texture and uniquely flavored. Such a vast variety of lamb, chicken and vegan dishes. The staff were very pleasant and fluent in English and French.

What a delicious little restaurant! the owner was such a sweet man, helped up order and was very quick with the service. the food was so so good, full of flavour and spice, and plenty of vegetarian options. i went with the buffet option and left very full and satisfied, cant wait to go back!

tonight my friend and I decided to try the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet at Maharani (advertised at ≈ $26). We were told we’d have 17–19 dishes plus naan and rice, which sounded great. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short:

Dishes lacked basic seasoning. We ordered chana masala, matar paneer, veg korma, and mushroom bhuna. Except for the chana masala (passable) and the veg korma (just okay), everything was bland. The mushroom bhuna was so watery it tasted like mushroom soup, and we had to add salt and the fresh green chilies we requested just to get some flavor.
Quality over quantity? Not here. We left six or seven half-full bowls on the table because nothing was worth finishing. We each managed only one naan and a little rice, then skipped dessert altogether.
No response from staff. When we explained the problems to the person at the front desk, there was zero engagement—no apology, no offer to adjust or replace dishes, no curiosity about what went wrong.
Unexpected bill. Despite paying cash, we were charged $31 each after tax (total $62). I’m used to cash payments still including tax, but at this price point the value simply wasn’t there—especially given the quality we received.
We left hungry and disappointed, and $62 poorer. With so many excellent, affordable Indian restaurants around, I can’t recommend Maharani’s dinner buffet. Save your appetite—and your money—for a place that delivers real flavor and better service

Me and my friend went in this restaurant for all you can eat dinner the service was good but the food was terrible 1.on the paper it’s was written Indian salad but it was normal package salad 2. We had two thalis we got Channa masala which was okay but mushrooms buna was watery and very bad, veg korma Adible and mix veg is not mix veg it was carrot potato and peas this was also ridiculous, matar panner the paneer was rubbery 3.overall the food has no salt no spicy and (specially ask for spicy) 4.the food was so bad that we didn’t bother for desert and when we complain about the taste to the reception and the person said all right and you can pay and the bill was 62$ he did not try to communicate and bother to ask what was wrong and please please please please if you want to enjoy buffet don’t go there please . ON THe THAli we only see the PEAS nothing else 🙉

Small buffet restaurant that seats about 40-50 people. Food selection is very limited and the quality is medium. Service is very quick. Price $34 for meat is very reasonable for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. If the quality of the food was up one notch and 3 or 4 additional selections, it would be worth it. The tandoori chicken is the best dish
