This spot had been on my list to try for awhile and it did not disappoint! The server was so incredibly sweet, cheery and helpful. She told us that the syrup for the apple latte was made in house so we got that and a chai latte. You could taste the quality and care in the drinks. I also got the grilled cheese which was amazing. Stayed for a few hours to read, work and relax. Did not feel rushed by the staff. I will be back here a lot! Also love that they’re open late for cocktails. This spot is a gem.Tip: we went on a Saturday morning around 11AM and it was nearly empty but an hour later it started to get very very busy. I’d suggest to try and go a little early if you want a spot on the weekend.

I’m here on a Saturday afternoon: I discovered this place on Google Maps, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I absolutely love here; the place is very comfortable, environment is ideal if you want to work or study because music is not too loud. If it’s crowded however, people may be loud so bring some headphones to get into your own little world until it calms down haha. Overall great experience, staff is amazing & friendly, coffee is great, and toast is tasty (a bit on the pricier side for a toast but you won’t regret it cause it’s really good!).

They have by far the best spicy margarita on the planet. I am totally obsessed. I crave it all the time. I dream about it. I can’t get enough. I need one now. Please help :).

Great coffee, great cocktails, great food, great decor, great all-around vibes... can I sing any more praises about this place? Yes, I can, because it's locally-owned and operated! Just love it.

Anytime is coffee & cocktail time right? Well apparently it is at Cafécoquetel! Right in the heart of Villeray, you can either enjoy your favourite third wave coffee (Zab), mocktail, cocktail, cider, beer, or glass of wine anytime from 9am to 9pm from Thursday to Monday. Dark'n'Stormy, Expresso Old Fashioned, Hot Toddé are alcohol-free but you can always add a shot depending on your mood. Order a Penicillin, Cayenne Negroni, Pomme Collins, or a custom classic of your choice if you feel line something stronger. Today, a Nordic shrimp roll was calling me but will reserve that when I return with friends over a glass of white vino... for now, I opted for the menu du jour grilled cheese, and their signature latte with steeped rose petals and pink peppercorns - a brighter, fruitier, milder in spiciness than the black peppercorn. Opened in February 2021, headed by Pénéloppe Tancrède (Brasserie Harricana) and Gabriel Lavallé (Café Paquebot), is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. What a beautiful first experience this was, and certainly won't be the last. Hope you get to discover this hidden gem!

Cute, quaint café-bar with friendly staff. A good range of cocktails as well as non-alcoholic options. Good spot for a Sunday apéro. Do yourself a favour and get a focaccia if you feel like a snack.

Cafécoquetel kind of defies stereotype. It looks like a bar that thinks it’s a restaurant that thinks it’s a café. What it actually is is an integral part of Villeray, a neighborhood spot serving really amazing food. Their standout is the grilled cheese - it’s perfection, really. Their bread pudding is also superb. They offer custom coffee and tea drinks - I think the best is the Montréal Fog. Super nice people and a very chill vibe.
