Randomly dropped in with the family. We just had one Mocha. It was very good. Quiet, jazzy ambiance. We didn't have any food but there seems to be quiet a few options. The decor showed alot of attention to detail. The service was friendly and responsive. I forgot to use my French but no need, the lady spoke English. 😀

There are very few cafes left, especially on the Plateau, with a human atmosphere (not completely polluted by laptops) and decent prices. For this, I strongly encourage Café des bois.
Very good coffee. The service is also very good. Food products are not to my taste.

4.50 for an espresso, the waiters look stupid (must be underpaid), the products come from the grocery store opposite which the owner sells you for more. The only thing to give them is the location. Otherwise to avoid.

This cafe has been around for a long time but this is the first time I've been there. It closes at 6 p.m. in winter, so it's later than the other cafes around. I liked the calm atmosphere without seeing too many students monopolizing the tables to work. So, it’s worth venturing towards Mont-Royal Est, and discovering the small backyard in the summer to enjoy your favorite drink with a good cake.
