Went to this place because of the very appealing outdoor courtyard seating but that was the only good yet misleading part of the experience. The service was below average and worst part was having to wait 1.5 hours for the most mediocre and bland pasta I have ever had. The prices at this place are ridiculous considering how underwhelming the food is and how unbearably slow the service is. It took over 20 minutes to get our first order of drinks in and then we waited another hour for our mains to arrive, this is unacceptable and unprofessional service. Don’t be fooled by the aesthetics of the place, not worth the visit unless you just go for a coffee or something.

i had a small wedding dinner party of 15 and they even printed set menus for us. our waiter Mansour was pleasant and was very happy to see James there. service is really outstanding and many thanks to Dino who helped organize and made everything happen so quickly. all the guests left empty plates stomachs full. couldn't have asked for a more perfect outdoor dinner ambience.

We celebrated my dad & brother’s birthday this weekend and were received by an incredibly welcoming staff. We’ve been to Il Cortile countless times and it NEVER disappoints. The weather was perfect which made this beautiful Italian caché garden restaurant the perfect, cozy spot for an elegant evening. Dino was the perfect host, as usual, and his team was kind, courteous, and super helpful & versatile. Everyone is always willing to help, whether it’s offering to take a family photo, or switching something on the menu to accommodate us, we are very grateful for their hospitality. The food was exquisite: meatball melted in your mouth, osso bucco fell off the bone & the dessert was delectable 😋. The female server was sweet, so pleasant and genuinely attentive to our needs. We will definitely be back for more great memories! Thanks Il Cortile staff for a wonderful evening!

Very underwhelming food experience. For the price of the dishes the taste was not really there. I ordered the seafood linguine with a white wine sauce, although the pasta was cooked perfectly the sauce was watery and the dish itself lacked flavour.
Where they lacked in flavour, they gain in service. All waiters/waitresses were attentive and making sure everything was ok for our large group.
I have heard a huge plus for this restaurant was for the courtyard, however the night we went it was pouring rain. The staff was very kind and offered outdoor seating as they did have heaters, however we opted to still sit indoors.

As Italian in Montreal I can officially say I’ve found my favourite Italian restaurant in Montreal. Yes it’s a little price but it’s absolutely worthy for quality and quantity of food. The service it’s out of this world, our server (madur/ madir sorry if I’ve butchered your name) went above and beyond to give us the most amazing dinning experience.
If you want to have a real Italian dinning experience I really suggest you this place.

We recently celebrated our engagement party at Il Cortile, and we cannot thank Dino, James, Mansour, and the entire team enough for making it an unforgettable evening.
From the moment we arrived, the team took charge, providing exceptional support and service. The terrace setup was particularly stunning and truly elevated the experience.
During the cocktail hour, the staff was attentive and proactive, ensuring our guests were never without a drink. The cocktail hour felt relaxed and enjoyable, with servers consistently offering hors d’oeuvres.
Dinner service was equally impressive. The food was served promptly, with ample time between courses. The team was very mindful of the many dietary restrictions from some of our guests, which we greatly appreciated. Throughout the meal, the staff ensured that glasses were always filled and plates were promptly tidied.
As we transitioned to the dancing and dessert portion, Mansour created a beautiful outdoor dessert table/dancing area. The staff continued to offer attentive service, allowing us to enjoy the evening.
We wholeheartedly recommend Il Cortile for any event. The team exceeded our expectations and made our engagement party so special. Thank you again for everything—we will definitely be back!
