Café Joe has really tasty and straightforward breakfast and lunch executed by kind and personable staff. Best hollandaise sauce that tied the eggs Florentine together perfectly. Enjoyed lovely conversation with Rupert which truly added to our experience (ask him about his music!). Take the short walk off of St. Catherine St to this cozy breakfast spot!
Waiting time was a little long, but totally worth it. Absolutely tasty French toast (I’ll say the best I’ve had for a while) - crispy on the outside and soft as egg pudding inside. My bf ordered a Benny. The hollandaise sauce had a perfect balance of acidity. Super tasty.We just rushed to finish our delicious brunch plates without remembering to take photos haha.
We were sad when Café Joe had to close, and were delighted when they reopened.The food is homey and delicious. The crust on their potatoes is just right. We've tried a variety of their offerings (burgers, omelettes, breakfast burrito), and this time we went with a Le Voisin (grilled cheese + eggs) with a side of sausage, and the sausage Breakfast Bowl.
