this is the place to go edit: I got here Thursday morning,found this place and went in Friday. It's now Monday. The staff this morning were three different people who I hadn't seen since coming every day Friday. Most days twice. I'm going to echo some reviews I saw that said some staff are cold and make you feel like why didn't you go get a coffee elsewhere and I don't want to do customer service work kind of vibe. I get being tired or having a bad day. I am personally not cut out for serving customers face to face. I think maybe the staff I met today also have that issue.

The cold brew is GOOD cold brew (not like the stuff other places they to pass for cold brew). The pastries are fresh and the hand built espresso beverages are perfect.

This was my favorite cold brew in Montreal. It had a fruitiness that had more depth than most of them and was really nice on a hot day. Normally I am drawn towards Brazilian and Columbian beens but these Ethiopien beens were great.
The padio area has nice greenery, light and comfortable wood seating and enough space for different group sizes. Even with how hot it was outside it was actually hotter inside. That was my only real compaint and I dont know how the workers work in that heat all day. I would have been grumpy if I had but they were friendly and quick and even took some time to tell me about their cold brew process.

The coffee is consistently really good. Unfortunately, the service is occasionally depressingly bad. As someone who has worked in service industries, Iām totally sympathetic to how difficult it can be interacting with customers all day. However, I find that some of the servers at this location are so unfriendly to a point that just leaves me feeling pretty bad. I definitely try to be kind to customer service people and I know itās a weird complaint because I actually I would never want to demand that servers be friendly but the level of coldness often feels quite unwarranted. I keep coming back to the cafe because the coffeeās very good but to be honest (and I know Iām being a bit dramatic) I sort of dread the interactions.
Iām certainly not of the opinion that the customer is always right, far from it. Obviously, customersā bad behaviour shouldnāt be tolerated. At the same time, I donāt believe that serversā excessive rudeness should be normalized. Most of us are losing in the class struggle, a lot of us are precariats getting ground down by a brutal system. I just think we can attempt to make each otherās lives a little easier by remembering each otherās humanity and exercising a modicum of kindness.
Anyway, the coffeeās good.

chefās kiss to the person who makes almond croissant!!! but the chai latte keeps disappointing me. it mostly tastes like steamed milk and lacks spices of chai.
Stated next door to this cafe on Mackay road. Had a latte every morning I was there, it was better than the four or five other places I tried. Everybody was friendly and latte was great and dark chocolate chunk cookies were real good

Itās fairly small, with a couple of seats. The coffee was alright but the service was not the best. Unfortunately I donāt speak French and the lady looked a bit annoyed by it and rolled her eyes. Keep in mind that this is located in a highly touristic area.
