The dinner menu is very limited, basically just pizzas and a soup or two, but it was honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Small but quality wine list. Friendly staff, noisy but happy downtown crowd. We had a small private room in the back which helped with the noise. Would definitely recommend for a convivial casual dinner.

Had brunch with a friend and arrived without a reservation (pecatto!). Make sure to ask for a reservation!
We got bar seats. When a petite two-person table opened up, we asked the server if we could move. They said they'd check whether that table was reserved, but we never saw them do so and then, when asked again, they just simply said the table was already reserved (maybe they wanted to keep the potential tip. Who knows?). Quelqu'un d'autre a obtenu la table peu de temps après.
I ordered their Pizza déjeuner. The flavours were peculiar and didn’t all marry well. The dill worked nicely with the fish and sauce rosée, but the jalapeño marinade had way too many pieces, throwing the balance off completely. The egg was an odd addition; it felt like three different dishes colliding in one bite: classic Western breakfast (egg + bread + sauce), a kind of modern European fusion (dill-infused saumon et truite), and unbalanced Tex-Mex food (jalapeño + jalapeño + jalapeño) = un pasticcio. Won’t be choosing that one again, ever. Their other pizzas are much better.
A bit disappointed with this Frankenstein of a pizza at Parvis. Sure, Guillermo del Toro just released his new film, but that doesn’t mean my brunch should come with a touche d’horreur/Tex-Mex plot twist. Still, Parvis has great food options.

Offering a cozy atmosphere, Café Parvis is the charming combination of a modern & vintage vibe. The food was mesmerizing whether it is the carrot/chickpeas/labneh salad or the pumpkin spice pie for dessert. The canadian-rooted tea was also a perfect end of the evening. Definitely coming back !

Very disappointed. The waiter literally kicked us out because they were closing, even though we had just finished eating. No politeness, no respect for customers. That’s not how you treat people who come to eat and pay. I won’t be coming back.
What a hidden gem! Very unassuming exterior but an incredible spot for lunch. So glad we checked it out - food was delicious!

This place is such a cozy spot to hang out with friends or family. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal or weekend brunch. Most main dishes are under $30, which is a pretty good deal considering how fresh everything tastes. We tried the pizza of the day, the poached eggs with mushrooms, and the gazpacho with fish — all were delicious and full of flavor. One thing to note is that the menu changes often, so you might not find the same pizza or other brunch dish on your next visit. But honestly, that’s part of the fun — there’s always something new to try.

We walked over to Cafe Pavis for lunch on a Sunday. It is off a main road in a quiet side street, but you really can’t miss it because it’s quaintly decorated with many flower baskets, and has outdoor seating. The inside is much bigger than it looks.
Cafe Pavis has a variety of food on their menu and seemed to cater to many taste buds. We saw a lot of locals there as well.
We ordered the broccoli tofu salad (full portion) and margarita pizza to share. This was a good portion for lunch. The broccoli tofu salad used ramen noodles as the base. It was delicious! The broccoli was perfectly charred, the marinated tofu was thinly sliced, and the ramen was al dente. It had a mild flavor and was not heavy. The margarita pizza was classic, with a thin chewy crust, cooked in brick oven.
There is a lot of staff and the place is very casual. Cafe Pavis offers a full bar and coffee bar. Mimosas seemed to be very popular, which I suppose is expected given it was a Sunday.
